04.21.12 | 5, 11 and 12 are absolute classics. 18 gets a lot of shit because it's the album that got all the teenage hipsters into it, but imho it's their best, so it's a good place to start with them. I can't help you out too much with the metal on this list, however Opeth and Meshuggah are two of the like 5 bands i can tolerate.
And....Illusion of safety is extremely over rated. Start with Vheissu and work your way current for a more "rock" sound, or backwords for a more "post-hardcore" sound. |
