03.18.12 | It absolutely terrified me seeing usually-composed people like Howard Webb visibly distressed and at a loss. It was horrific just to experience the ESPN commentary because you could sense the subtext in everything they were saying and it was just terrible.
The thing that annoyed me about Twitter was the number of people saying that God healed Muamba. I'm not about to go on a religious rant, but the guy is still alive - even if critically ill - now, because of the fantastic response of so many medical staff and people in a position of authority/trust. The speed and efficiency of the treatment he received was immense.
It's days like this one that sport seems like a different entity entirely. |
