anw, arsenal sucks away, I'm really surprised they got to beat Sunderland, even in the injury time. Milan's defense is pretty good at San Siro, so I really doubt Arsenal will even manage to score. |
Recspecs
02.15.12 | Damn, you know me too well. I'll end up making a list sometime tomorrow.
I honestly don't know what to expect, should be a great match. Henry comes off the bench late and assists RvP with an early goal from the Ox. Zlatan scores once and Arsenal leaves the San Siro 2-1 on aggregate. |

02.16.12 | So typical. Why the fuck did we play 4-3-3 against such an attacking team. RVP got no service the entire match. |
Recspecs
02.16.12 | Wenger is a fool, I'm not saying that we should fire him.....but goddammit we need to keep RvP and get Eden Hazard. Plus get rid of Arshavin and possibly Chamahk. |
BigBlob
02.16.12 | Get rid of-
Chamakh, Arshavin, Djourou, Squillaci, Denilson.
Hazard is a bit overrated I think. I mean Gervinho scored more goals and got more assists than him when he played for Lille last season. Rather we spent big and got Mario Götze to play instead of Ramsey. |
AliW1993
02.16.12 | Arsenal need more than just Hazard - and it looks like he's going to Spurs anyway.
You need at least one center-back, preferably a fucking monster like Samba, as well as a left-back and a beastly defensive mid - Cheik Tiote would be ideal, but you can't fucking have him!
Dead wood like Arshavin, Rosicky, Denilson, Squillaci and Chamahk need to go, and you still need at least one more striker.
Overall, you're in quite a mess! |
thumbcrusher
02.16.12 | i don't think it's fair on RVP to make him stay, he's too good to just have an FA cup from 2005 to his name :P |

Pentagon
02.16.12 | I really doubt that RVP will stay beyond this season, he deserves more. And AliW pretty much hit the nail on the head, you guys are pretty screwed. |
BigBlob
02.16.12 | We're not screwed as such. We are always soo unlucky with injuries. (or maybe our medical staff is rubbish?). Last night our best defender Koscielny got injured! And this season alone Vermaelen, Santos, Gibbs, Mert, Djourou, Arteta, Diaby, Jenkinson, Sagna and WILSHERE have all picked up injuries lasting over 3 weeks. What a joke.
|
thumbcrusher
02.16.12 | horrible thing for arsenal though is they've spent the last 7 years so playing kids and not winning anything so they can develop and get to this point.lol.
though aside as a united fan i must say it was more fun to have arsenal as rivials than chelsea were as they made the games way more enjoyable to watch between each other cause they played good football.
suppose city are making the top of the table games more exciting this year, but i wouldn't like a repeat of what happended at OT haha |
BigBlob
02.16.12 | thumbcrusher - The sad thing is, this youth policy has been an excuse to not spend money. Arsenal is just a business. Profits first, trophies second. Thats why we always sell off our best players and buy cheap. Thats why Wenger will never get sacked by the board. His way of managing means the club doesnt have to spend big money. |
thumbcrusher
02.16.12 | i think he could spend money if he wanted to, he had that panic attack on the last day of the summer transfer window and spent a fair amount. |
Recspecs
02.16.12 | I just hope we can at least finish in the top 4. If we can do that, there is still hope for next season. |
AliW1993
02.16.12 | I don't think you can point to injuries, because realistically how many of those players would get into the starting XI's of City, Utd, Spurs or even Chelsea. I'm a Newcastle fan and I'd honestly wouldn't put any of those into our first XI, with the possible exception of Sagna. |
thumbcrusher
02.16.12 | he didn't mention wilshire who's been out all year... |
BigBlob
02.16.12 | AliW1993- I know they aren't the best players ever. But I think every season for the last 5 years Arsenal have had the most injured players. Either that is really bad luck, or our medical staff need sacked. |
BigBlob
02.16.12 | How could I forget about Wilshere! |
AliW1993
02.16.12 | Yeah but if you're expecting him to save your season then you're going to be sorely disappointed I'm afraid. I don't doubt that he's going to be a great player (he's already an excellent one), but he's not going to single handedly turn you into a top 4 team. Arsenal's only saving grace this season has been that Chelsea and Liverpool have been so bad. And RVP of course. |
Recspecs
02.16.12 | At least Wojcech has been solid. |

02.17.12 | It's hard being an Arsenal supporter, but we endure lol. |
AliW1993
02.17.12 | Yeah it's really hard being in the top 4 for 14 consecutive years. Try being 12 points ahead at the top of the league and still finishing second, losing two FA cup finals in a row, going through nine (mostly shit) managers in 6 years, being relegated in disgrace and generally being a constant source of entertainment for the rest of the country.
Tiote and Toure are streets ahead of the rest when it comes to PL defensive mids. |
BigBlob
02.17.12 | Sagna could get into any PL team. His performance was terrible against Milan, but thats because he has been out injured with a broken leg for 5 months! Of course he was going to be tired. |
