01.05.12 | It took me a long time to warm up to, but the more I listen to it the more I love it. The backstory of Don Quixote is perfect -- the intrepid galloping theme opening the album, the gorgeous buildup in Dulcinea, the feeling of loss and hopelessness in the middle, then the epic, nearly cathartic reiteration of the opening theme as the hero "rides off into the sunset" after the album's journey...it's really a breathtaking album. |

(Although Wrist of Kings is my favorit song by them... such a good intro) Other than that it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much metal for me to comprehend. I just don't get this kind of music. Except for Isis, which are brilliant. |
