ohfoxxxycole
12.29.11 | And you predicted m&a would win |
Pentagon
12.29.11 | list looks good |
swallowtales
12.30.11 | How did Demon Days win...... |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | awesome idea and list. surprised at a few of these though, esp. 7 14 and 23 |
AngelofDeath
12.30.11 | Shows how much this site knows. |
porch
12.30.11 | boring picks |
Pharoh
12.30.11 | 8 slaughters everything |
Blackbelt54
12.30.11 | agree with this list mostly except 13 Songs beating the Argument and Highway 61 beating Blood on the Tracks is ludacris |
ShadowRemains
12.30.11 | btbam should die |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | Highway 61 is better than BOTT but not Blonde on Blonde. And the argument is better than every single album on this list anyway so w/e |
porch
12.30.11 | argument is maybe 4th best fugazi record |
DoubtGin
12.30.11 | no
5 and 7 are wrong, rest I can live with |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | 4th best after what, 13 songs, repeater and kill taker? |
porch
12.30.11 | right now i'd pick repeater, end hits and kill taker and maybe red medicine ahead of it
not saying the argument isn't a great album but it's overrated on this site compared to the others |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | though fugazi have such a ridiculously consistent discography that it's pretty hard to rank anyway, i always enjoyed the guitar work and more sophisticated songwriting, even if it doesn't hit quite as hard as the earlier stuff. plus it was the first album of theirs i heard |
paxman
12.30.11 | Illinoise* |
paxman
12.30.11 | Did somebody cool say BtBaM sucks or something? |
Trebor.
12.30.11 | Yeah they're gay |
porch
12.30.11 | i think the 'more sophisticated songwriting' and 'maturity' aspects of the argument are overstated, it's not like the albums before it weren't really intricate and experimental while still being fun to listen to, especially killtaker, red med and end hits
|
porch
12.30.11 | i'm not singling you out in particular btw |
ShadowRemains
12.30.11 | Chaotic, experimental, brutal, beautiful, divine, epic, passionate, complex, intriguing, emotional. Classic, Silent Circus, BTBAM, Perfect. |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | yeah, fair enough, but I find it's the best balance of consistency and experimentation, whereas red med and end hits, while still great, have a couple of skippable tracks each |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | step forward floating boy, version and fell destroyed |
porch
12.30.11 | i like version and fell destroyed
birthday pony is the only track i skip from red medicine |
Masochist
12.30.11 | "Illinoise*"
Naw, 'Illinois'. |
jefflebowski
12.30.11 | i find the chorus of fell destroyed weirdly soporific. Birthday pony at least has the creepy laughter but it is a bit fugazi by numbers i guess |
Trebor.
12.30.11 | clap ya hands |
iambandersnatch
12.30.11 | why only 2 choices for #10
dis list |
Masochist
12.30.11 | Because none of the other albums from that particular project are rated above 4.0, while those two are
tied at 4.3. Didn't really think any other two had a chance. Though I bet 'Addicted' vs.
'Deconstruction' vs. 'Ghost' would've made a nice contest ;-) |
