I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that Reznors subtle instrumental work trumps his exceedingly unsubtle NIN work. Creepy stuff.

Massive Attack style trip hop. But more romantic and soulful.

Collapse Into Now

R.E.M. have had something to prove over their last two studio efforts and have been largely successful. A suitable swansong.

Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will

I just really like Mogwai.

I Was Here For a Moment, Then I Was Gone

Upbeat, emotional instrumental hard rock. Less metal riffs and vocals than last two albums.

The Hunter

More concise than last album and more hard rock with some prog rock moments. Mastodon Rocks.

Sit Resist

Sometimes I listen to a band and like the music and then singer puts me right off. This does not happen with Laura Stevenson.
