I knew before the year started that there was absolutely no way I would get through listening to all the new releases I wanted to spend time with - unless I stopped collecting albums and entire band discographies from previous years. There are piles of albums that I've downloaded from 2011 that I haven't even started to listen to yet. So - this list isn't exhaustive, but is a selection of the new releases that I _have_ enjoyed.
