12.02.11 | lol, forreal tho, you know any? typed tapping bands in google and didn't come away with much |
RooseveltsGhost
12.02.11 | Andy Mckee is the shit; I just bought tickets to go see him play at a classy restaurant/lounge next month. As far as the tapping style is concerned, I think Minus the Bear is some of the catchiest stuff out there. Scale the Summit have some fantastic tapping sections, as do Protest the Hero.
I'll just do you a solid and blow your mind. The tapping section about 3.5 minutes in is beautiful

12.02.11 | @RooseveltsGhost that section was pretty awesome. thanks for the rec, gonna have to check out the rest of their stuff. If you like Andy McKee i think you would really really appreciate Jon Gomm. youtube guy that makes me never want to play music again

12.02.11 | yo the bands you're looking for are six gallery and this town needs guns |
jdennis31
12.02.11 | ey yo, yah sex gallery is awesome but this town needs guns doesn't tap too much. it's mostly just quick finger picking by 2 people that makes it sound like they are tapping. |
jdennis31
12.02.11 | six* gallery |
Imploder
12.02.11 | yeah you're right. the best is really maps and atlases circa tree, swallows, houses |
jdennis31
12.02.11 | yah, maps and atlases tapping is a bit random to me but on the slower parts where the tapping holds more melody are amazing. and the drummer is also amazing, especially on artichokes. |

12.02.11 | most trustworthy tin cans |

12.02.11 | Give The Fall of Troy - Doppelganger or S/T a try. |
Imploder
12.02.11 | he just does hammers and pulls, almost no tapping at all except on symphony |
RooseveltsGhost
12.02.11 | but he yelps like an injured dog and sings (terribly) while doing it, so it's way more impressive.

RooseveltsGhost
12.02.11 | not sarcasm BTW, he really is an incredibly talented guitar player. |
Auschwitz
12.02.11 | "tapping bands"
try adding "guitar" in there. also, Rob Martino uses the tapping technique, although he has to because he uses a chapman stick. good stuff. |
