geng
11.01.11 | List is October digs and stuff. |
ThePac
11.01.11 | what so aguero made it on the list but rvp didn't lol.
probably messi |
geng
11.01.11 | I know, it's ridiculous. Like how Wesley Sneijder is on the list but Nuri Sahin isn't. I think it probably will be Messi, but it's getting boring with him winning it every time. I'd like to see it go to Iniesta personally. |
Keyblade
11.01.11 | Same as geng, though Messi is the best player in the world. And 62 goals in 60 games was it? is tough to beat.
Someone tell me what Fabregas did in 2011 that was of note? It's like they're just including the big names for the sake of it. No RvP = lol. |
geng
11.01.11 | Although an honourable mention does have to go to Abdial. Playing in the Champions League final two months after having a liver tumour removed is pretty badass. |
BigBlob
11.01.11 | How the fuck is Robin van Persie not in it?! |
Dreamflight
11.01.11 | Probably Messi, since Barça once again won almost everything, although Ronaldo had a bigger goal score.
Xavi would be a great winner too, dude isn't getting any younger, it would be a nice career prize, I guess. |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | Ronaldo might score more, but Messi is a miles better player. He probably deserves it, though Suarez's
been bossing the premiership this year |
Pachelbel
11.01.11 | If by bossing you mean diving and racially abusing then yeah.
Messi is gonna get it, I don't like him or Barca for that matter, but he is the best player on the planet by a large margin. |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | yeah, because that sure makes a difference to his playing ability. The prize isn't for nicest footballer yknow |
Dreamflight
11.01.11 | "but Messi is a miles better player."
Nahh, they're just different. Messi has that natural talent that comes only once in a lifetime, Ronaldo on the other hand is a much more complete player, and the result of really hard work and willpower. |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | Messi's more of a team player, and manages to contribute more to the while still having an individual
impact IMO |
clercqie
11.01.11 | Ewww, football... |
Dreamflight
11.01.11 | @jefflebowski
True. However, for better for worse, both players are highly influenced by their teams playing style. I wonder how Messi would do in another team. :P |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | He wouldn't get far on a rainy Tuesday night in Stoke, I'll bet you |
Pachelbel
11.01.11 | yeah, because that sure makes a difference to his playing ability. The prize isn't for nicest footballer yknow
Yeah but he is not even the best striker in the EPL. I don't question the cheating cnut's talent but Rooney, Aguero, Balotelli, RVP and Drogba are all better than him.
|
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | Aguero, Balotelli yes, RVP maybe, but he's been playing just as well as them , even if he isn't such a good player in terms of natural ability. Plus, Drogba is past it and Rooney hasn't been great this season |
Keyblade
11.01.11 | Balotelli no, not yet at least. RvP and Rooney in 2011 are the best in the prem. |
Pachelbel
11.01.11 | I don't know dude, Rooney is the EPL's second best goalscorer with 9 goals, I think he's had a great season, at least before that three match ban UEFA gave him. |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | I guess he's been overshadowed a bit by the ridiculous goalscoring of City |
AngelofDeath
11.01.11 | Rooney eats a dick. |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | *nods solemnly* |
AngelofDeath
11.01.11 | There are a lot of deserving candidates here, but just the fact that practically half the names are
from Barca makes me a happy camper. |
ncguitar
11.01.11 | hope CR7 doesn't win it. airy motherfucker |
Adabelle
11.01.11 | So basically either Ronaldo or Messi is a given. Would be brilliant if Abidal won it haha.. |
sifFlammable
11.01.11 | there is no way ronaldo will win it i guarantee you |
Pachelbel
11.01.11 | Funny thing is Manchester United who won the EPL and was runners-up in the CL has two players in the list, and Real who only won the Copa del Rey(a somewhat mickey mouse cup) has five players in it.
Whatever everybody knows Messi's gonna win it. |
geng
11.01.11 | True, but Real Madrid would win any league in the world that didn't have Barcelona in it. Plus Fifa hates the Premier League and loves La Liga. By rights Nemanja Vidic should be on that list as well. |
sifFlammable
11.01.11 | its not all about the trophies that'd be ridiculous
but yeah it has to be either messi or iniesta |
jefflebowski
11.01.11 | Xavi deserves to win it at least once in his career, the man's a legend |
AngelofDeath
11.01.11 | Agreed. |
Recspecs
11.01.11 | Van Persie should definitely be in this list, I would like to see Forlan win it though. I liked watching him and Uruguay in the world cup this past summer, escort for the match between them and Ghana. But yeah, Messi will most likely win it.... |
geng
11.01.11 | Forlan doesn't deserve it at all, he's been crap domestically since the World Cup. The only reason he's on the list is because of Uruguay's Copa America win in the summer. |
Recspecs
11.01.11 | Benzema?? What the fuck, go ahead and throw Arjen Robben or Gareth Bale in there. |
InAbsentia
11.01.11 | either 17 or 19 |
Aids
11.15.11 | Messi obviously. Yeah it's kind of boring him winning every year but it'd be a pretty hard case to argue that he didn't deserve it every year haha, this one included. |
AliW1993
11.15.11 | Messi, deservedly so. It's hardly boring when he's scoring 50 goals per season. |
