06.03.07 | 6, 11, 19 ftw. In my opinion Bodom has much better songs that BBT, and Physical Graffiti has better songs on it than Kashmir even though its a killer track | Epilogue
06.03.07 | Rerverie/Hariliquin Forest is a great track, good job! Rest of the list is good, too | Doppelganger
06.03.07 | Fire Above, Ice Below is excellent. | Yazz_Flute
06.03.07 | awesome list there, fire above, ice below may well be my favorite agalloch track, though there are close competitors.
My favorite Opeth song is Serenity PAinted Death, but harlequin forst is in my top 20 for them. Bodom Beahc Terror is my fifth favorite song from bodom, their title track being my favorite. Last Statement is actually one of my least favorite fdrom insomnium, i'd have to go with mortal share or the day it all came down. Nice DT pick, but they have better songs imo, still tis in my top 20 from them (home is my fav) My fav Amon Amarth is either thousand years of ppression or fury divine, but death in fire is onin my top 5 from them.
for dark tran, my favorite is lost to apathy or terminus, but the dividing line is in my top 10. Awesome choice for wintersu, i only prefer beautiful death and starchild to that. And finally , i think my favorite kalmah song is hollow heart, maybe they will return, or heroes to us...i dunno.

06.03.07 | Interesting to see Stormrider there. The rest I would agree with. | Phil
06.03.07 | I meant Stormbringer. | freudianslipknot
06.03.07 | Thanks for comments. The truth is that some of these bands I know really well, while others not as much. So for instance, my top 15 are all by bands whose music I really listen to a lot and know 90% of their stuff really well. Some of the melo-death bands like DT, kalmah and Insomnium I haven't actually listened carefully to all of their material - so it's cool when some-one says that your selection is ok, but what about this one. I really enjoy CoB and for me the chorus of BBT is one of the most awesome moments in metal. How does one choose a Led Zeppelin song - so many to choose from. Nice that some-one noticed the Deep Purple choice. Stormbringer is actually quite a scary song for the time (early 70s) - I really dig the tone. But also I tried to be honest about my actual taste - for instance it feels kind of weak to put hallowed be thy name for Maiden (it's just so standard), but that songs owns. On the other hand I thought I might get flamed for the Opeth choice or the in flames song which is kind of atypical. But I guess I kind of hope that some-one out there will like my taste and think damn I've never heard Agalloch or Isis or whatever, I gotta get hold of them. | jrowa001
06.03.07 | hands down great list. good to see novembers doom, thats a great song and rather uplifting. | Yazz_Flute
06.04.07 | BBT's chorus does kick ass, i just love the riffing to their title traxck more. Downfall, hatecrew deathroll (the song) and children of decadence i also like more. | freudianslipknot
06.04.07 | I know what you are saying about CoB - I find them a very consistent band. Those are good choices. Hatecrew Deathroll has to be one of the best songs for headbanging that exists.
Novembers Doom have some great stuff - and the production on autumn reflection is so crystal (especially for Doom metal) - from the first notes of that clean guitar at the beginning you just know it's going to be a great track.
