08.05.11 | I was bored so I translated a piece of a review of The Suburbs into Spanish and back again, and this is what I got:
The burial, album of the principle of the fire of the arches, makes a case strong to be the most important album of the indie of the last decade. Not only it won on a whole subculture, he also established subgenre whole of the music of the indie. The Sufjan call Stevens abstains from from the modern resurgence of the baroque outbreak everything what you wish, but the burial came a year before Illinois (nobody took care of on Michigan after the fact), and the burial is an album better than nobody of the albums of Sufjan anyway. The fire of the arches created a wave of the inspiration that never anticipated surely and raised the expectations for other launchings to the unattainable heights, that are because the neon bible was probably looked like a backward movement in the face like many of its impatient one, supposed the loyal ventilators. In spite of the commercial aclamation and critical general (or perhaps due to her), blogosphere of music, much more great and to feistier more than the fire of the arches could have recordadolo in 2004, repelled. The community to that the united burial collected again, took pitchforks (retruécano predicted) and loaded. The suburbs are, essentially, mechanism of defense of the butler frontman of the triumph.

08.05.11 | In the suburbs, the líricos attacks of the butler against their deserters are direct maces, summarized more better possible in verses of “the Rococo”, where by verse he analyzes the progression of fanbase of the fire of the arches. First, the butler insults his intelligence to even enjoy burial: “We go towards downtown and char it to cabritos/a modern they will eat to the right outside his mano/de to use the great words that do not understand.” Secondly, he bemoans its tactics belittling after the neon bible: “They above construct It for hardly burning behind tragan/el wind are blowing to the ashes all around/Oh my dear God which is that horrible song” Finally, it tries to demonstrate to these bastards of hipster which really are, that are essentially what they make the suburbs: “They look like wild but they are so domestic/they are moving towards you with their colors all the equal ones/wishes own him but they do not know what game is playing.” In the end, the butler must leave like the old proverbial null and voidable man who shouts in the cabritos of the vicinity to obtain of his turf. But the curse of the God, the suburbs is prize-to win, botanical garden finally tempering, and the butler has each right to say what he satisfies his delinquents.
Music in the suburbs is so direct and direct as the líricas of the butler. Whereas the neon bible also used east style of songwriting, the suburbs feel matured and extensive in all the places in where the neon bible looked like lukewarm and attempt. | Scoot
08.05.11 | compare it to: Funeral, Arcade Fire’s debut album, makes a strong case for being the most important indie album of the past decade. Not only did it win over an entire subculture, it also established an entire subgenre of indie music. Call Sufjan Stevens the forebear of the modern resurgence of baroque pop all you want, but Funeral came one year before Illinois (no one cared about Michigan until after the fact), and Funeral is a better album than either of Sufjan’s albums anyway. Arcade Fire created a wave of inspiration they surely never anticipated and raised expectations for further releases to unattainable heights, which is why Neon Bible probably seemed like a kick in the face to many of their eager, supposedly loyal fans. Despite general commercial and critical acclaim (or perhaps because of it), the music blogosphere, much larger and feistier than Arcade Fire may have remembered it in 2004, backlashed. The community that Funeral united gathered once again, picked up pitchforks (pun intended) and charged. The Suburbs is, essentially, frontman Win Butler’s defense mechanism.

08.05.11 | On The Suburbs, Butler’s lyrical attacks on his deserters are direct bludgeons, best summarized in the verses of “Rococo”, where by verse he breaks down the progression of Arcade Fire’s fanbase. First, Butler insults their intelligence for even enjoying Funeral: “Let’s go downtown and talk to the modern kids/They will eat right out of your hand/Using big words that they don’t understand.” Second, he bemoans their belittling tactics after Neon Bible: “They build it up just to burn it back down/The wind is blowing the ashes all around/Oh my dear God what is that horrible song?” Finally, he attempts to show these hipster bastards what they really are, which is essentially what The Suburbs does: “They seem wild but they are so tame/They're moving towards you with their colors all the same/They want to own you but they don't know what game they're playing.” In the end, Butler should come off as the proverbial cranky old man screaming at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn. But god damn, The Suburbs is a prize-winning, finely tuned botanical garden, and Butler has every right to say whatever he pleases to his trespassers.
The music on The Suburbs is as direct and straightforward as Butler’s lyrics. While Neon Bible also employed this style of songwriting, The Suburbs feels matured and spacious in all the places where Neon Bible seemed tepid and tentative. | Scoot
