05.28.11 | If you're okay with canalphones, then the klipsch image s4is are really nice. They have pretty excellent sound quality for their price. |

05.28.11 | I wouldn't get anything too expensive for in-ear buds; they're too easy to break. |

05.28.11 | I haven't tried any in ear canal ones yet. My canals are pretty sensitive so I'm not too sure about getting those kind (I'd want to try them first before buying.) |

05.28.11 | The Sennheiser/Adidas series are excellent. There's several different styles of them, and the price ranges from 90-120 dollars. |

05.28.11 | So what you're saying is you want headphones not earphones. |

05.28.11 | Eh, I'm not sure. I got some cheap $5 canal earphones and I'll see if I'm fine with using them regularly. |

05.28.11 | Sennheiser seems to be the best company. My ear buds were around $100 and they are really good though they have a little trouble with no sound but that is the hardest thing to get rid of. |

05.28.11 | Are they comfortable and do they stay in place (not slip out?) I usually listen with earphones while lying down in bed. The reviews seem really good for this product, I'll look further into it. Thanks :) |

yeah I have had these since release, have to be careful of the left earphone wire though, they are flimsy and prone to breaking! treat them right though and your fine. Sound quality is great for the price. |

05.28.11 | Yeah, it's a good thing the s4is come with that metal carrying case |

05.28.11 | i'm leaning towards getting those for high-end earphones. For now I'll just experiment with the $10 and sub kinds. |

05.28.11 | Klipsch Image S4, usually priced somewhere around $70. They're durable and produce great sound in both bass and treble. I've struggled with finding good earbuds, and I got these 6 months ago and they still work perfectly and are the best earbuds I've ever owned. |

Just don't get buds at all |

05.28.11 | Yeah, get headphones, but if you have to get in-ear, go cheap because they won't last you that long. |

05.28.11 | Personally I just hate the sound you get with buds, but you shouldn't have something that produces sounds INSIDE your ear |

05.28.11 | With normal headphones you're positioning music over your ear, with ear buds you're placing the music source directly into your ear. Having a loud source like that so close to your ear drum (and in a confined space where it's actually vibrating against your ear canal) can burst your ear drum.
If you spend your life going to concerts and listen to loud music all the time, you can gradually damage your hearing because you've exposed yourself to such high frequencies for a long period of time. But ear drums won't just slowly deteriorate your sense of hearing, it can destroy it |

For monitors, Audio Technica ATH-M50
I have both, and they are equally fantastic. |
