05.23.11 | 1-3 are pretty much interchangeable. | Nagrarok
05.23.11 | My top 5 would be exactly the same with Machine Head on 2 and In Rock on 3, though they are close. Haven't heard 9, 10 is boring. | JamieTwort
05.23.11 | 10 is rather on the dull side but Bad Attitude rocks pretty hard. 9 is a great live album, I wrote a review for it a while back. | JamieTwort
05.23.11 | Deep Purple need more love around here. | sumyunguy
05.23.11 | I completely agree. One of the most underrated bands ever. I like Stormbringer so high. Critics generally consider it a flop after Burn, and I absolutely love every song on it, especially You Can't Do It Right. I would probably have put Come Taste the Band at 10 instead of HOBL and Purpendicular at 9. Both very underrated. | BigHans
05.23.11 | 1-5 rule hard | Nagrarok
05.23.11 | They really can't be called underrated, especially Mk. II. Machine Head is regarded as a classic, after all. As for here, yes, they don't get the attention they deserve. | sumyunguy
05.23.11 | Well, for example, out of the Big Three (Zepp, Sabbath and Purple) DP is easily the least popular and least known. Sure most people know Smoke on the Water and Hush but usually not more. In fact, member for member, DP is probably the most talented out of the three. I don't mean underrated in rock circles, I mean in popular culture. | Nagrarok

I do actually agree with this completely, it probbably was the 'ever' part that made me disagree, since there are many bands with crazy talent that never got remotely near DP's level of popularity. On a side note, I'm pretty sure I never even heard Hush until I started listening to the lesser known parts of their discog. | JamieTwort

I did consider putting CTTB on here and I agree it is pretty underrated but it just doesn't feel like a true Deep Purple album somehow. In hindsight I probably should have put it at 10 instead of HOBL.

I agree, I love Deep Purple just as mcuh if not more than Zeppelin and Sabbath. | JamieTwort
05.24.11 | Edited to include Come Taste the Band. Though I'm sure Nag will disagree, it's a decent album. | tiesthatbind
05.24.11 | Machine Head is all I've heard but it rules so hard. I need to listen to 2. | Nagrarok

I have been feeling I may have been a little harsh on that one, though I'm not going to bother relistening with so many albums on my list.

Please do include 1 in that, the live takes of the In Rock and Machine Head songs are amazing. | tiesthatbind
05.24.11 | I will add that to the list as well then. |
