Thought I'd try this out. These are all albums that have been highly influential to my attitude to music and my personality. |

Shut Up I Am Dreaming
If you could fit my music taste into one album, you couldn't do much better
than this album. Something about the jaunty, sloth-like style and carnival
atmosphere gets me every time. Some people think the last song is the
best, I love the whole thing. |

Hospice
Nothing is more beautiful than this album. I must have spent 2 months
confining myself to just this album, I even remember being in a skype call
discussing Hospice with two other people until 4 in the morning because we
were so desperate to understand it. |
| 3 |  | Death Cab For Cutie
We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes
Once you go old-school Death Cab you can't listen to their new stuff. Their
first two albums were pure-raw awesome-ness, or something along those
lines, this album in particular. |
| 4 |  | Failure
Fantastic Planet
Space-rock albums about heroin being out the best in all of us. In my mind
this is the best album of the 90's, no argument. "Another Space Song" and
"The Nurse Who Loved Me" are deceptively brilliant. |

In Rainbows
After me- "Reeeckonneeeerrrrrrrr-aaahhhhhhhh---ooohhhhhhh" Not as
strong an album as some of their other offerings but the amount of tunes
Radiohead managed to pump into this is incredible. |

Silent Alarm
As I grew older, my music tastes changed in a way that I progressively
listened to songs further through the track-list. After all these years I still
listen to it, and "So Here We Are" is as good as ever. |

On This Perfect Day
My introduction to progressive music and the whole genre of metal. Hell of
an introduction, to date it's the best progressive album I've heard. |

Futures
When I was 12, this was my first album that everyone didn't already own
(Green day+RHCP albums). Anyway, by the end of my year long affair with
the album half the songs had been listened to 500+ times, don't know
quite how I managed to stay with one album for so long but oh well... |

Oracular Spectacular
I downloaded this album with no expectations of it, I thought it would be
just another buzz-band-style, average with the exception of one song,
album. How wrong I was. |

Music Has The Right To Children
I have a secret obsession with the change that occurs in "An Eagle in Your
Mind" at around 2:50. No idea why, I don't question it myself. It's a pretty
damn good collection of songs though. |
