Altmer: Top 50 Metal Albums Of All Time

Eakflanderyof 03.29.07	Pretty good list even though some of it is predictable. You should base it more off of your opinion rather than which one was the most popular or critically acclaimed of a band's albums. Powerslave is easily better than Number of the Beast. The only real problem I have with this list is the Mayhem album being higher than Hvis Lyset Tar Oss and In the Nightside Eclipse much less being that high on the list. Mayhem is mediocre to me. Good list overall though. In Flames, Iron Maiden, Burzum, Opeth, and Emperor FTW. Needs Agalloch though too.

Eakflanderyof 03.29.07	That's cool. It's still a really good list and I'm glad you were fair to all genres. I'm just saying that you should use your own opinion more for the minor things. Such as, if you think Still Life is a better album than Blackwater Park than you should put Still Life first. That would make your list more different than a normal top metal albums list. Either way, I'm just being nitpicky. Great list.

Altmer 03.30.07	I know that Skydancer was first, but The Jester Race as a whole was more influential. Let's just say that I think that The Jester Race overall was the most important in terms of influence.

suicidal4life 01.08.09	Again maybe its just me who thinks more of And Justice for All than others. It is my favorite Metallica album. Also, why the extreme lack of love for Suicidal Tendencies? Everyone has Black Sabbath, Maiden, Slayer, but I listen to Megadeth, Anthrax, Alice in Chains, suicidal Tendencies as much as any metal band.
