Good Albums Are Good.

Good albums are good, any recs are appreciated.
1Alcest
Ecailles De Lune

Probably by far one of my favourite albums of 2010. Mixing the dense, beautiful atmospheres of Shoegaze with the viciousness of Black Metal to create a dark, dreamy atmosphere. Highly recommended.
2Neutral
Serpents In The Dawn

An interesting neo-folk album from Russia which mixes peaceful, finger-picked guitar lines with gloomy violin atmospheric and gothic-esque male vocals. Although slightly repetitive it's an enjoyable listen nonetheless.
3The Daysleepers
Drowned In A Sea of Sound

The album title basically sums this up, a shoegaze album similar sounding to the innovators of the genre such as My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. Recommend it to anyone who loves the dense atmospherics of shoegaze.
4Vali
Forlatt

Very similar sounding to Ulver's Kveldssanger except without any vocals, a beautiful relaxing acoustic album which still stuns me everytime I hear it.
5 Daniel Land & The Modern Painters
Love Songs For The Chemical Generation

I seem to obsessed with shoegaze atm, although this album also tends to lean more towards dream-pop aswell. Another album which easily conjures a peaceful album, avoid the first track though, the snare sound sucks.
6Arctic Plateau
On A Sad Sunny Day

A Post-Rock influenced shoegaze album which takes the atmosphere of normal shoegaze but adds a slightly more sinister edge with a slight depressing vibe mixed with the occasional violent scream.
7Deicide
The Stench of Redemption

Probably the best album they've released with a stronger sense of melody and more emphasis on the solos with Glenn's most versatile vocal performance to date.
8Shining (SWE)
VI - Klagopsalmer

A depressive black metal record which surprisely doesn't sound like all the other generic DBM bands out there, with a decent production and interesting vocals mixed with an strong emphasis on dynamics and acoustic guitars. Highly reccomended to those who enjoy their black metal slightly different.
9Origin
Antithesis

A clusterfuck.
10Akercocke
Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go...

Just get this.
