Edit: vanderb0b beat me to it.
For me, a 3 is an album that has maybe 3 or 4 good songs. Albums I give a 3.5 are ones where usually the first half is good but the second half isn't. Or just half the songs are good. That's just me. Idk.
thank you for your answer
maybe what i'm gon do is rate albums with: 1,2,3,4,5 and ignore the ratings in between.
a 3 is where i can say that was good, but not something that really stuck with me after i was done listening to it. a 3.5 is when it does stay with me, but its not really my favorite. a 4 is when an album is excellent, and i love it and it stays with me for a long time afterward. a 4.5 is when an album is really flawless and it stays with me and it connects extremely well and i love listening to it often. 5s are special albums that you only hear a handful of in your lifetime
a 3 album is where I was tricked into listening to something that I was told was really really good but really wasn't all that great, but I still enjoyed it because I'm a giant tool.
I rate good albums a 3 and great albums a 3.5 but that's just me.
yeah i generally follow the description next to the number
3 is an album that's almost good enough to reccomend 3.5 in one that you would reccomend but not emphatically
"yeah i generally follow the description next to the number"
you have done well my son
3 means it sucks.
3 means its good but bleh and I dont really feel like listening to it anymore, 3.5 earns repeated listens over the years
