|50 Things About Me|
I know yall probably don't give a crap about my life, but I'm really bored and this will pass my time while making me think about interesting crap about my life.
I am an adopted child from birth. Yes my parents love me (for all you insensitive douchebags out there), I don't consider my birth parents my parents at all. My adoptive parents are. I have never known any other parents.

Relationship of Command
When I was very young doctors noticed I was very bright and as a result my parents put me in academic schools from the time I was 2. Due to this, I resent traditional education, although i do very well in school and I love learning
The first band I felt truly attached to was Tool. Though I was only 10 when i discovered them, they latched onto me like no other band ever did, and even though i've moved past them, I still consider them a great band and credit them with introducing me into seriously listening to music.
Led Zeppelin IV
I have been playing the guitar for 8 years now, from the time I was 9 (for those of you who can't do math, that means I'm 17)
My favorite video game of all time is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I feel it is superior to Ocarina of time because of its innovation and the 3 days system was such a great idea.
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...
I competitively battle Pokemon with my friends, and we all take it very seriously. My team has only been beaten once.
Even though I live in New Jersey, my favorite football team is the Baltimore Ravens. Don't ask me why, I don't even know myself
Jagged Little Pill
My musical guilty pleasures include Alanis Morissette, Owl City, and Marilyn Manson
I run varsity cross country for my high school and we were rated 13th in the state this year. I also run the 2mile, which I consider my best race.
Slanted and Enchanted
Due to my running, I abstain from drugs and alcohol. Though I used to drink, I don't anymore, and I have never tried any drugs besides alcohol.
The Glow pt.2
I enjoy reading all types of literature, though Bitchfork and Fyodor Dostoevsky already know this, as we had a long discussion about it on my previous list.
I hated The Beatles for the longest time, until my musical tastes matured and my friends and I were playing The Beatles Rock Band one day. I went home and downloaded a bunch of albums from them and now i consider them one of my favorite bands.

System of a Down
I have one brother named Ryan who goes by the name ZBJE on this site. He doesn't like me very much :(
I can't stand the genre Indie-Pop. Bands like Phoenix and MGMT make me want to gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon.
|15||Circle Takes the Square|
As the Roots Undo
I am a huge CTTS fan, and I think As the Roots Undo is one of the greatest albums ever. I also support Converge, but I never thought Jane Doe was as good as ATRU or even worthy of a classic rating.
Though I have over 350 ratings right now, every album I rate I listen to at least twice before deciding a rating for it. Yes, that means I have listened to that Arnold Schwarzenegger album 2x, as well as Panic! @the disco. One listen is not enough to determine a rating.
My favorite genre of music is Indie, but I am open to all genres when accepting recommendations.
I don't have many friends, but the friends I do have I am very close with. Despite this, I am very popular at my high school. I don't even know why at this point.
My favorite subject in school is English, and I hope to become an English teacher in the future. I either want to do that, or something with music. Perhaps write for a magazine or something.
|20||The Smashing Pumpkins|
When applying to college next year, my first choice is The College of New Jersey. I am also fond of Northeastern, University of Delaware, and Marist College.
I played soccer for 11 years of my life, but I dropped the sport to run track year round.
Unlike most people on this site, I actually have a Facebook account.
I never understood the hype around Thrice. I have listened to Vhessiu and Illusion of Safety numerous times, and i did not consider either one of them even near a 5 in caliber.
I was an ardent opponent of Rap until I heard Wu-Tang Clan's Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Though it is not my favorite genre by any stretch, I am now more open minded to the genre as a whole.
|25||Faith No More|
I almost died once in my life. My friend ran me over with his car feet first and as the wheel was rolling off my body i twisted my head so it rolled off my shoulder. I sustained no serious injuries. I just needed to stay off my feet for 2 weeks, and I was back running in 3.
I am a pacifist for the most part. I think war is wrong, but there should be nothing wrong about hitting someone if they are being a dick to you.
The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me
My favorite color is yellow. I think i personally look very good in yellow and I own more yellow clothing than any other color.
|28||Between the Buried and Me|
I hate BTBAM. I think they are pedantic and overly technical and it ruins any sense of emotion the music may have had prior to the inclusion of the musical wankery.
I actually love Black Metal, but I only listen to it from September-November.
I am an ardent conservative when it comes to political issues, but when its stupid shit like the legalization of marijuana or gay marriage I'm liberal.
My favorite movie is The Breakfast Club. I am also a huge fan of Martin Scorsese and Robert DeNiro movies. Particularly Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.
|32||Alice in Chains|
I often get crap for not giving albums enough credit. But that's why I have 95% objectivity and you don't. I actually use 3's and 3.5's the way they should be. It has to really wow me to make it into my 4 category.
I don't deal with stress well and I usually freak out, but sometimes I feel like stress is the only thing that motivates me to get my work done.
I am a huge Judas Priest fan, and I saw them live at the metal masters show back in 2008. It was kick ass.
I can name all the United States Presidents in order of inauguration and their vice presidents. I can also name them by number. For example, if someone were to say 27 I can say William Howard Taft almost instantly.
My eyesight is very poor because when I was 7 my dad threw a key at me and it hit me in the eye and scarred my cornea.

Impaled Northern Moonforest
I fell for both the Apator troll and the Impaled Northern Moonforest troll. I have both those albums in my iTunes.
Worship and Tribute
I hate douchebags who go to great lengths to fulfill the stereotype that their music projects. ie. Grungies who wear flannel and ripped jeans, or Emo kids who dye their hair black and wear skinny jeans. Music is great, but it shouldn't define your life.
A Dead Sinking Story
I tore a ligament in my shoulder when I was 8 from pitching in a baseball game. I never received medical attention and kept pitching through it, and now it's permanently damaged. I will never be able to throw a baseball comfortably again without surgery.
I am a natural born lefty, but I have become ambi-dextrous because all the other kids were writing with their right hands in the special school I went to, so I forced myself to learn right handed ledger.
I actually listen to the Staff on Sputnik. Reason: they probably know more about music than I do and I respect that, so I give their recommendations a try.
If I had to choose a definitive "favorite band" i would probably say Radiohead, although I don't really have a favorite band.
I have tried to figure out last.fm, but I still don't know what the hell's going on there. I just stick to iTunes.
None So Vile
My mom has a habit of washing clothes I don't want washed. For example, my phone, ipod and wallet have all gone through the wash at some time because they were in my pants pockets that were on my bed. I didn't put them in the laundry pile :(
I don't usually cry, but Kid A made me cry the first time I heard it. So did Boxer.
I have only done 4 reviews, but I consider all of them to be strong. They all took me quite a while to do, and I have more fun writing reviews than I do writing anything else.
My favorite album of 2010 was High Violet by The National. I'm aware there were probably better ones out there that I haven't heard yet, but this was the best I have heard.
I know all the words to the movie School of Rock with Jack Black. I had the dvd on my tv and to set the tv back to tv mode required the remote, which I lost. So i simply watched School of Rock for a month. Every night
For Emma, Forever Ago
I recently broke up with my girlfriend, but I'm doing great. My life is really better without her, and now I'm meeting new people and my life is more exciting as well.
This took me about 25 minutes to do, and I doubt anyone is going to read the whole thing. I really did it out of inspiration for a list I saw a couple weeks ago that encouraged the Sputnik community to reach out and say 1 thing about themselves. It ended up getting over 1000 comments, and if everyone were to make a list like this, we would all be much closer. No, to answer your question, I am not gay.
