Procrastination Killed The Student

I've been putting off my term project for almost 8 days...it is due tomorrow at midnight. Its essentially 5 assignments based on one product where I emphasize the beneifts and features of the product and the company itself...Riveting stuff I know...Don't take Copywrite Advertising...as easy as it is I'm so happy it's almost over because this shit is so fucking boring. Here are like the last 10 albums I've been digging.
1My Disco
Little Joy

Just started listening to this, but I already dig the minimalistic style on here. It works out extremely well because not only is it not overly repetitive, but there are subtle dynamics within the music that keep it going.
2Max Richter
Infra

Electronic ambiance + classical violin that sweeps half the album. You tell me if that's not good.
3Tricky
Mixed Race

Unheralded and practically no one here on sputnik knew about this shit! To top it all off it's probably his best in a decade.
4Mobb Deep
The Infamous

Had to check these guys out...kind of a shame it took this long.
5Nitzer Ebb
Industrial Complex

If you told me a German EBM Industrial group who were best known for their synth style and excessive minimalism would pack this much ferocity, dedication and successfully do something they failed miserably (for the most part) 15 years before on Big Hit this year I probably would of laughed. But that is what Industrial Complex is...an astonishing transformation for a group that relied heavily on old tactics only to break through with a modern sound.
6Gifts From Enola
Gifts From Enola

Their sophomore slump was extremely mediocre, but this 3rd release brings them back to their roots. This is practically their debut (Loyal Eyes Betrayed The Mind), but simplified and still holds tons of energy with every song.
7Dead Kennedys
Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables

Legendary punk band that spites out cynical, brash and fantastic verses every song.
8Ben Frost
By The Throat

Ben Frost is a fantastic ambient artist. If you don't dig this album (an almost cinematic dark conceptual album) then Theory of Machines is your album.
9toe
For Long Tomorrow

I was really happy with the outcome of this album. It showed that the band can step up and the guitar dynamics have progressed quite a lot compared to The Book About My Idle Plot On A Vague Anxiety. The percussion is still top-notch, but the creativity finally flourishes full bloom.
10The Knife
Silent Shout

The Knife before this album were a group on the cusp of something; when this was released it showed what we were all waiting for.
