We just hosted a competition Saturday and we got grand champions our first. This week is hectic as hell. Thursday parade, Friday away game 4 hours away then Saturday, Competition 3 hours away. |

I play trumpet (freshman) this year for marching band (although I'll probably switch to either the soussaphone or percussion for next year), and this is our second year marching since the early eighties or something like that, and this was our second competition this year. This Friday is our last game (we only do home games) and so I'm pretty pumped for concert band because we sound really good in the band room but there's a large difference between that and our playing on the field. |

10.12.10 | I can see that. Even with a band our size there is a total change in sound. We have around 130 member and 5 people in the pit. I love marching band but concert band is so much funner. |

Beef, we have about 50 in our marching band and those are the people who are in concert too. Our pit (which is included in that 50) consists of six people and our color guard consists of eight (not included in the 50).
