Battle Of The Genres - Part 2

BATTLE OF THE GENRES - PART TWO /// Metallica outhrashed Megadeth (albeit barely) and Slayer in the last round, with the final score coming to 20-18-7. The ageing kings of metal will have plenty of time to rest up for their next appearance, which may very well be against one of these three bands below /// DESC RIPTION - Vote for a band that you would like to represent each genre. There are eighteen genres in total, which means eighteen preliminary rounds. Then the representatives from each genre will face off. Which genre/band will win? /// RULES - One vote per member per day (each round lasts 24 hours) - In the event of a tie, a faceoff will occur between the disputed bands - Let's get started

2Radiohead

Highest-rated album: OK Computer (4.5 avg. rating) /// Radiohead is a British band with a very... ahem... 'different' sound. Actually, they have no true definable sound, as it changes from album to album. This is part of the allure of Radiohead - what the Hell are they gonna do next? Their first taste of success was from MTV's promotion of their single "Creep" off of their Pop/Rock debut album, Pablo Honey, and Radiohead initially went for a sound that drew inspiration from U2, 80's rock, and the new music of the 90's.
3Faith No More

Highest-rated album: Angel Dust (4.4 avg. rating) /// Faith No More. You've heard of them. You've heard their over the top single, Epic. You may have seen the video. However If you don't own any of their albums, you really haven't heard Faith No More. An eclectic mix of metal, rock, funk, rap, pop, punk, swing, and pure insanity, it's a sound that can hardly be defined by one album, let alone one song.
4Brand New

Highest-rated album: The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me (4.4 avg. rating) /// Formed on Long Island, NY, Brand New appeared on the punk-pop scene in 2000. Consisting of drummer Brian Lane, vocalist/guitarist Jesse Lacey, bassist Garrett Tierney, and guitarist Vin Accardi, the band began making a name for itself on the local scene with a self-released four-song
demo and shows with bands like Midtown and Glassjaw. In 2001, they issued their first record, Your Favorite Weapon, on Triple Crown, produced by friend Ike Sapone.
