Been digging P.O.S. like no tomorrow lately. |
Masochist
07.01.10 | A lot of people here like his music...mostly 'The College Dropout'. I'm a fan of a good number of his singles; "Can't Tell Me Nothing" is awesome, but I can't say I'm a big fan of his albums as whole works. |

07.01.10 | Kanye is a douche through and through, but yeah, Can't Tell Me Nothing is a great song. |

07.01.10 | ^Haha maybe not but why does it need to be?
Also I love Kanye at his best, his new single was the tits, Jesus Walks is awesome, but his albums bore me overall. Big hopes for Good Ass Job though. |

07.01.10 | SMH. Here's a more original list.
For 3, try B. Dolan's "Fallen House, Sunken City" (he's on Sage Francis' label as well and this is one of, if not the, best release(s) of 2010)
For 5 and 8, try Digable Planets' "Reachin' (A New Refutation Of Time and Space)" I like it just as much, if not more than Illmatic and way more than The Low End Theory. It's super chill but still has that jazzy sound, and Butterfly is a great MC/producer.
For alot of the albums on your list, try Binary Star's "Masters of the Universe". Album is fucking mindblowing. Conscious, hyper-lyrical, and the beats are lo-fi but really work.
For 9, try some of Three 6 Mafia's older stuff. Specifically, "Mystic Stylez" is my favorite album of all time, and "Chapter 1: The End" is amazing as well. Anything leading up to, and excluding, "Last 2 Walk". They have the same dark content, marvelous beats, and for the most part, spectacular MCing.
Hope this helps. |
