| Religion Ranked
BAD Religion, that is. Their albums, to be specific. My opinion, to be clear. | 1 | | Bad Religion The Empire Strikes First
First BR album I got to be excited for; still my favorite after all these years with the band. Favorite tracks: "Sinister Rouge," "Let Them Eat War," "Beyond Electric Dreams," "Boot Stamping..." | 2 | | Bad Religion The Process of Belief
To be honest, this is probably their best album overall since 'Against The Grain'. Lots of classic stuff on here, and something for everyone. A MONSTER of a comeback album. Favorite tracks: "Broken," "Materialist," "Epiphany," "The Defense" | 3 | | Bad Religion Against The Grain
My favorite of the "classics." Also has the incomparable song "Anesthesia." Favorite tracks: "Modern Man," "Get Off," "Anesthesia," "Flat Earth Society" | 4 | | Bad Religion New Maps of Hell
I don't know why I like it so much, but I do. Like Sonic Rush was to the Sonic anthology: a modern dose of a classic formula. Favorite tracks: "Heroes & Martyrs," "New Dark Ages," "Before You Die," "Honest Goodbye" | 5 | | Bad Religion The Gray Race
I know its sacrilege to put this ahead of the next two, but this is one of those personal choices. I like this album way too much for no particular reason. Favorite tracks: "A Walk," "Spirit Shine," "The Streets of America," "10 In 2010," "Come Join Us" | 6 | | Bad Religion No Control
I listened to this album waaay late in my BR journey, which is why it's only #6. "You," however, was the song that introduced me to the band, and remains one of my favorites today. Favorite tracks: "I Want To Conquer The World," "You," "Progress," "The World Won't Stop Without You" | 7 | | Bad Religion Suffer
THE classic album. Very nearly single-handedly revived the So-Cal punk scene, and paved the way for bands like The Offspring and NOFX to find commercial success six years later. As for its position here, I got it the same day I got 'No Control', so see above. Favorite tracks: "1000 More Fools," "Suffer," "Do What You Want," "Pessimistic Lines" | 8 | | Bad Religion Stranger Than Fiction
My first BR album. Wow...how fucking nostalgic! Favorite tracks: "Incomplete," "Tiny Voices," "Infected," "Marked" | 9 | | Bad Religion How Could Hell Be Any Worse?
First full-length LP, waaaaaaay back in 1981. Some absolute classic songs. Favorite tracks: "We're Only Gonna Die," "Latch Key Kids," "Fuck Armageddon...This is Hell!," "Pity" | 10 | | Bad Religion Recipe For Hate
I don't have this album anymore (for some reason), but I remember it well. Contains perhaps their best song ever in "American Jesus." Favorite tracks: "Recipe For Hate," "American Jesus," "Struck A Nerve," "Skyscraper" | 11 | | Bad Religion Generator
Don't know why, but I never got into this album as much as other people. Oh, well...it certainly isn't bad (and it has that monumental title track). Favorite tracks: "Generator," "Heaven Is Falling," "Atomic Garden," "Only Entertainment" | 12 | | Bad Religion New America
Ehhh...as far as BR albums go, it's probably one of their worst, but it's not a terrible album by any means. It's actually rather...fun. If another band (say, Lagwagon or New Found Glory) made this album, it'd be one of their best. Favorite tracks: "You've Got a Chance," "New America," "A Streetkid Named Desire," "There Will Be A Way" | 13 | | Bad Religion Into The Unknown
The disowned bastard son of the BR discography. Not too damn bad after a million listens, though. Favorite tracks: "It's Only Over When...," "The Dichotomy," "Million Days," "Losing Generation" | 14 | | Bad Religion No Substance
The only BR album I haven't listened to all the way through. But I've heard enough to know that it lives up to its name, for the most part. | |

05.23.10 | Hurrah for Bad Religion's lack of apostrophes in their album titles!
I've actually made this list before, a looooooong time ago, but I deleted it. But with '30 Years Live' out and the BR love spreading, I thought it might be a good time to redo the list. I also have list of my favorite BR songs ("Overwhelming Millions Everyday"), in case you're curious (and you're not.).
Hahaha, I bet this will have a ridiculously skewed views-to-comments ratio because of that title...;-) | Foxhound
05.23.10 | haha love it. | JulesWin
05.23.10 | "I bet this will have a ridiculously skewed views-to-comments ratio because of that title"
so true | Satellite
10.21.10 | yeah so this rules. nice to see i'm not the only one who considers TGR underrated. | cvlts
10.21.10 | fuckin awesome list title | Masochist
10.21.10 | Oh yeah, highly underrated. That was the second BR album I ever got (behind "Stranger Than Fiction"). I think I ended up picking this album over 'Generator' or something else simply because it had more songs on it, even though the other album had songs I recognized.
I remember when "The Streets of America" was the fucking SHIT! Damn...good times back then. | Satellite
10.21.10 | "Parallel" will ALWAYS remind me of driving around in downtown Cleveland with my friends trying to find the House of Blues for the NOFX show. | Josh D.
10.21.10 | You tricked me. | Masochist
10.21.10 | "10 In 2010" and "Them And Us" will ALWAYS remind me of driving around that fucking 3-D town, jumping over cars and crashing into street trolleys looking for the damn KFC...;-) | Emim
10.21.10 | Never listened to Bad Religion in my life :P | Satellite
10.21.10 | rectify that shit mimz | Josh D.

10.21.10 | If either one of you is seriously interested in trying to get into them, try either 'The Process of Belief', 'Stranger Than Fiction' or 'Suffer'.
'The Process of Belief' has a good mix of their fast stuff, their slow stuff, and the more experimental stuff. It also has what's probably their most well-known song of the 2000's in "Sorrow."
'Stranger Than Fiction' is good on skate punk, but is also relatively slower overall, and perhaps their most straight-on "rock" album. It has the best-selling hits of their careers in "Infected" and "21st Century (Digital Boy)."
'Suffer' is straight punk rock. Shit has 15 songs, but doesn't even make it to half an hour. This one and 'No Control' are what made them famous, and they are the classic BR albums ('Suffer' is a bit more melodic than 'No Control'; 'No Control' is faster and more energetic).
So yeah...if you want to get into them, those are my recommendations. Start with any of those, and if you like any part of any of them, it'll be easy to figure out where to go from there. | Emim
10.21.10 | Sweet, will do bro | Josh D.
10.21.10 | tl;dr | Masochist
