05.15.10 | Toy Story is #1
Up, Monster's Inc., The Incredibles, A Bug's Life, Ratatouille, Toy Story 2, Wall-E are all tied for #2 cause I find it so hard to rank them.
I can't remember one funny part in either Finding Nemo or Cars though. For some reason they're making Cars 2.
WHY MAKE A SEQUEL TO YOUR COMPANY'S WORST FILM? |
MUNGOLOID
05.15.10 | if they were to make a sequel to anything, it should've been The Incredibles, or maybe Monsters Inc. |

Still! Fuck Antz! |
theacademy
05.15.10 | na not joking. shrek 2 and ice age 2 were great (the latter was a big surprise for me). Forgive me, but when i see frivolous shit like CGI animated movies, i would prefer to laugh every once in a while.. |
Counterfeit
05.15.10 | Whaaatt? Fuck Antz? That movie was awesome. |
MUNGOLOID
05.15.10 | shrek 2 was awesome but c'mon, ice age 2? really? that movie was so bleedy boring and really not that funny. |
theacademy
05.15.10 | i remember being bored with the first ice age but laughing my ass off for the 2nd... don't really remember what specifically i laughed at (i haven't seen any of these movies more than once) but i rated it a 4/5 on flixter... |

05.15.10 | the scene in monsters inc with sully + mike running through all of the doors is genius.
ratatouille
wall-e
finding nemo
incredibles
toy story
up
monsters inc
toy story 2
cars/bugs life
i love pixar, etc. i dont really remember bugs life, need to watch that. cars is very cute--it might not be a classic or anything, but it's a very pleasant film and fun stuff.
ratatouille wins because of the setting, i think--it adds a sense of complete magic to an already-great film that is obviously a result of total love from the director/people who worked on it towards the characters and subject. anyone can cook! god, what great stuff.

robertsona
05.15.10 | the part where remy is on top of the restaurant and looks out onto paris for the first time...no words
pixar movies are seriously full of that shit and i'm not afraid to love them unconditionally even if unconditional love for pixar movies is become cliche ;D |
Enotron
05.15.10 | ratatouille is all vibes, bro
Def one of the best pixar films.
Monsters Inc. is also pretty schweet. |
robertsona
05.15.10 | also: never join tumblr because you will learn to hate the beautiful montage that opens 'up'
it gets reposted on that fucking site every fucking twelve seconds |
underdog22
05.15.10 | Whoa piratesquid why would you put toy story 2 above toy story 1? |
robertsona
05.15.10 | "I love Ratatouille because it is convoluted and actually set in Paris and not just a bunch of sketches revolving around notable Paris landmarks. "
YES!
|
Enotron
05.15.10 | I just love the animation of the city and especially the restaurant. The kitchen tools and foods are so well developed.
And the scenery of Paris also adds to this. It has little to do with the plot, but the atmosphere of the whole film. |
underdog22
05.15.10 | Hopefully I'll see ratatouille soon. |
robertsona
05.15.10 | yeah, that's the thing for me. the movie (though not intended this way.......OR WAS IT?!?!?!) is essentially a perfect 'come to paris' advertisement since it has such amusing characters and story to make its setting a comforting place--i feel like anyone would want to go to paris after seeing it. even stuff that might seem insignificant (i'm thinking of the scene in linguini's apartment where he first starts to cook with remy) are so nourishing because of this |
robertsona
05.15.10 | and don't even get me started on that 'le festin' song by camille |
Enotron
05.15.10 | It certainly does depict the french lifestyle as very comfortable and carefree. |
robertsona
05.15.10 | did i almost forget about anton's ending monologue oh man |
Enotron
05.15.10 | Well it seemed implied from the general presence of the french people(not so much the major characters). It also appears that way in scenes such as Languini's apartment, the motorcycle ride with him and colette. Again it's mainly suggested by the general vibe. |
mmfarva
05.15.10 | Love the Toy Stories and Monsters Inc. So much. |
Enotron
05.15.10 | Every time I watch ratatouille, I get this temporary aspiration to become an innovative cook. |
Klekticist
05.15.10 | no way. incredibles should never get a sequel. keep the memories as it is.
bugs life and cars are their two weakest.
up is in their top three. idk where the rest fall... |
Yoshizoid
05.15.10 | Wall-E
Finding Nemo
Toy Story
Rattatouille
Up
Monsters Inc.
The Incredibles
Toy Story 2
A Bug's Life
never seen Cars tho
it was pretty hard to rank these seeing how i loved all of them
|
underdog22
05.15.10 | hmm honestly time i saw bugs life was when i was a kid - and it felt magical to me so i dunno if its as magical from an unbiased present time stand point. |
Masochist
05.15.10 | I'm one of those people who feel Pixar hasn't made a bad movie yet. Cars isn't their worst, but I probably think that because I was a huge NASCAR fan when I was younger (before Dale Earnhardt died). And I like the scenery of it, because it reminds me of home (small town, one stop light, desert scenery).
Also, yeah, The Incredibles is awesome. But WALL-E and Up take it; Pixar outdid themselves with both movies. All right...here's my list, then:
WALL-E = Up
The Incredibles
Finding Nemo
Cars
Toy Story = Toy Story 2
Ratatouille
Monsters, Inc.
A Bugs Life
And for aesthetic, here's my ranking of Dreamworks' 3-D Movies (not including claymation):
Shrek
How To Train Your Dragon
Kung-Fu Panda
Over The Hedge
Shrek 2
Monsters vs. Aliens
Madagascar
everything else |
ThePalestMexican
05.15.10 | Up would have to #1 for me
It was surprisingly dark, and overall an entertaining watch. |
Titan50
05.15.10 | I haven't watched Cars, Rataouille or Wall-E (which I want to watch SO BADDD)
Toy Story and Up are tied for first. |
Bandido
05.15.10 | I've always thought Monsters Inc and Bugs Life were underrated and Wall-E was a little overrated. Well not overrated as much as I just didnt like it as much. Good list though |
