Mah First Indie Albums Ever

1-7 are the first indie albums I ever listened to and 8-10 are what other stuff I was listening to at the time. Care to share your first indie albums...with style. yah. Oh yeah and I downloaded these originally in early 2007. there ya go.
1Deerhunter
Cryptograms

First indie album I really listened to and actually enjoyed. It was completely different from anything I ever heard. I still listen to and enjoy this album to this day. (Album owned on CD)
2The Go! Team
Thunder, Lightning, Strike

For the first couple months I had this it was pretty much ignored. Weird electronic music that reminded me of old children programming. But then I listened to Bottle Rocket and started diggin' it. Just recently I stopped listening to The Go! Team but I still have a lot of respect for them and plan on listening to their future work. (Album owned on CD)
3Pavement
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

Didn't listen to this for a long time. Don't really remember what I first thought of it but I still find it a fun listen.
4Pavement
Slanted And Enchanted

Also didn't listen to this for a long time. I've always felt this was their stronger album overall compared to 3. (Album owned on CD)
5Grandaddy
Just Like The Fambly Cat

I didn't like this when I first got and still never got into it. Not my style. Could be the vocals I'm not sure. I can't really put my finger on it.
6Arcade Fire
Neon Bible

First leaked album I listened to. At the time I didn't even know that was possible. Took me a while to get into but now is one of my favorite indie albums of all time. (Why don't I have this on CD???)
7Band Of Horses
Everything All The Time

Reminded me of Death Cab at first and I'm still on the fence with this one. I need to listen to it more.
8The Bloody Hollies
Who To Trust, Who To Kill, Who To Love

First one on this list not really what you would call indie music but they are on an indie label. I got a lot of enjoyment out of this album but I no longer listen to these guys. (Album owned on CD)
9 Eagles Of Death Metal
Death By Sexy

This and 8 I listened to hand in hand. They complemented each other very nicely. Both good to listen to while riding a bike. (Album owned on CD)
10Beck
Mellow Gold

Not an indie album but I'm pretty sure I downloaded this album along with the rest of these little guys. Didn't listen to it for the longest time. Way after I listened to Odelay and Guero. It has it's moments but certainly not essential Beck. (Album owned on CD)
