Also I'd say there a number of bands from around the same period who had chug riffs and cleans. The point being that KSE never did anything to change metalcore beyond being one of the first jun-jun bands to get popular among teenagers.
heyadam 04.07.10	ok point taken, you need to chill the fuck out though.And that formula didn't didn't catch on with other metalcore bands until AFTER AOJB......so as far as essential, yes, AOJB was essential....someone would've done something like it eventually that would've caught on at some point, but not at the same time period and probably without the same effect

Inveigh 04.07.10	no offense, but half of those bands aren't even metalcore haha. I'd say it's more likely that album redefined (or fuck, even defined) METAL in the 2000s, which was highly influenced by the late 90s and early 2000s metalCORE scene.

IleftyspankedU 04.07.10	Wow! You guys sure get passionate about these indie/underground/early metalcore bands. I wanna check 'em all out cause all I know is 14, 25, 28, 29 & 30. I didn't jump on the bandwagon til KSE's end of heartache (I know, pop-metalcore). Alive of Just Breathing didn't grow on me until a year or so after that. I know all those from iamSeraph's list above. Maybe cause I've always liked albums that sound good/full on my stereo (ie. high production value). If that makes me uncool, I already knew that. I'm spending my time here instead of interacting with people.
Inveigh 04.07.10	yeah, there's no better way to get flamed on this site than to make a metalcore list that is full of either newer bands, or just bands that are on the more metal side of the spectrum. It's also a good way to mess with Palace.
heyadam 04.07.10	KsE's new album just terrible, I was quite disappointed. But AOJB is a classic modern metal album, and I guess its not "core" enough for sputnik, oh well....

Regardless, I grew up on hardcore, I know what hardcore sounds like, and I can definitely hear strong elements of hardcore in every single album I listed. And you know, like, in order for a band to be classified as metalcore they have to like... play metallic hardcore...
