| Breaking Bad
...is really good. I'm almost halfway through the second season, and it has yet to falter. Thank God for CastTV. In other news, here are the releases I'm excited about in April. | 1 | | Annuals Sweet Sister
Technically a March release, since it came out today, but whatevs. These guys are really underrated, and Be He Me and Wet Zoo are great (haven't heard Such Fun yet). | 2 | | Jonsi Go
The buzz about this has all been good. Which is comforting, since it means a longer wait for a new Sigur Ros album. | 3 | | Kayo Dot Coyote
Band is so bizarre, yet so awesome. And I, for one, find the album cover creepy as ivy (ba-zing!). | 4 | | Murder by Death Good Morning, Magpie
Never really know what these guys will sound like from album-to-album, but it's usually Westerny, vivid, and really good. Hoping to seem them when they come to Baltimore. | 5 | | Red Sparowes The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies the Answer
Based on the clips and free downloads, this should be pretty solid, especially compared to the relatively lackluster Aphorisms. | 6 | | Secret and Whisper Teenage Fantasy
A good substitute for early day Saosin. | 7 | | The Ocean Heliocentric
If this album is half as well-constructed as its site (http://www.theoceancollective.com/heliocentric/), it should be great. | 8 | | Open Hand Honey
I actually had no idea this was coming out until very recently. I'm really excited, because You and Me is one of my favorite albums of all time. | 9 | | Coheed and Cambria Year of the Black Rainbow
Two words: Deluxe Edition. | 10 | | MGMT Congratulations
Word on the street is this is going to be a lot less bouncy than Oracular, which I think is good, since that album really felt like it ran out of steam at about the halfway point (hence the nickname Oracular Five-Good-Track-ular). Maybe a more subdued approach will benefit them. | 11 | | Sevendust Cold Day Memory
Guilty pleasure. I was a fan of these guys way back. In their defense, they have a lot more strong moments than most survivors of the nu-metal scene. | 12 | | Mouth of the Architect The Violence Beneath
If this lives up to its "fast and angry" potential, this should be a good month for post-metal. | |

03.31.10 | Breaking Bad is seriously the best show ever. Bryan Cranston is amazing as Walter White. | thecheatisnotdead
03.31.10 | Oh yeah. Usually when an actor wins two Emmys in a row, I don't like it, but he absolutely deserves every trophy they want to give him. | Acre
03.31.10 | Such a good goddamn show. | musicConsumer
04.01.10 | I wanted to watch Breaking Bad but couldn't find it anywhere. I like Bryan Cranston he was funny as shit on Malcom In The Middle and even funnier on Seinfeld as Tim Whatley | thecheatisnotdead
04.01.10 | @acre: Big time.
@dischord: Totally forgot about that one. Yeah, that should be sweet.
@music: I'm watching it on CastTV, and I think it's probably on Megavideo, too. Bryan Cranston is amazing. | LeotardMessiah2
04.01.10 | It's mediocre at best. | Inveigh
04.01.10 | it's one of the better shows on cable, but has nothing on premium channel dramas like Dexter and The Wire.

yes, but their last album sucked balls. I've stuck with them since the beginning (I was at one of their shows with my brother when I was 11 or 12 in Atlanta, back when they were unsigned and called Crawlspace), but if this one's not good they will be seriously testing my patience. | thecheatisnotdead
04.01.10 | I don't know, what I've seen so far (up to episode 8 of season 2) has all been really good. Like Inveigh says, not premium channel good, but that's to be expected.
And yeah, about Sevendust, this is definitely make-or-break-it time. I doubt they can ever be as good as their Home - Seasons days, but I think they still have some juice left. Hopefully. | Inveigh
04.01.10 | I wasn't a huge fan of Seasons, but I love Home, Animosity and the self-titled. I actually really liked Alpha too. | thecheatisnotdead
04.01.10 | Yeah, Alpha was good. I think I'm biased towards Seasons because that and Animosity were the first Sevendust albums I got. | Pessimist
04.01.10 | I absolutely love Seasons myself. The songs I've heard so far off the new album are pretty decent, specially that Unraveling song. | weareshadenow
04.01.10 | Seasons are the best, they come around every four months and can really help you organize a shows episodes. | thecheatisnotdead
04.01.10 | Full circles ftw! |
