Breaking Bad

...is really good. I'm almost halfway through the second season, and it has yet to falter. Thank God for CastTV. In other news, here are the releases I'm excited about in April.
1Annuals
Sweet Sister

Technically a March release, since it came out today, but whatevs. These guys are really underrated, and Be He Me and Wet Zoo are great (haven't heard Such Fun yet).
2Jonsi
Go

The buzz about this has all been good. Which is comforting, since it means a longer wait for a new Sigur Ros album.
3Kayo Dot
Coyote

Band is so bizarre, yet so awesome. And I, for one, find the album cover creepy as ivy (ba-zing!).
4Murder by Death
Good Morning, Magpie

Never really know what these guys will sound like from album-to-album, but it's usually Westerny, vivid, and really good. Hoping to seem them when they come to Baltimore.
5 Red Sparowes
The Fear Is Excruciating, But Therein Lies the Answer

Based on the clips and free downloads, this should be pretty solid, especially compared to the relatively lackluster Aphorisms.
6Secret and Whisper
Teenage Fantasy

A good substitute for early day Saosin.
7The Ocean
Heliocentric

If this album is half as well-constructed as its site (http://www.theoceancollective.com/heliocentric/), it should be great.
8 Open Hand
Honey

I actually had no idea this was coming out until very recently. I'm really excited, because You and Me is one of my favorite albums of all time.
9Coheed and Cambria
Year of the Black Rainbow

Two words: Deluxe Edition.
10MGMT
Congratulations

Word on the street is this is going to be a lot less bouncy than Oracular, which I think is good, since that album really felt like it ran out of steam at about the halfway point (hence the nickname Oracular Five-Good-Track-ular). Maybe a more subdued approach will benefit them.
11Sevendust
Cold Day Memory

Guilty pleasure. I was a fan of these guys way back. In their defense, they have a lot more strong moments than most survivors of the nu-metal scene.
12 Mouth of the Architect
The Violence Beneath

If this lives up to its "fast and angry" potential, this should be a good month for post-metal.
