Thank You, Sptunik. Thank You.

Well, I've been frequenting Sputnik for some time and I just recently created an account. Not in any particular order, but this is a list of some of the most enjoyable albums that I wouldn't have listened to had it not been for all you cool kids. Hope you enjoy.
1Genghis Tron
Cloak Of Love

I had already listened to Dead Mountain Mouth and Board Up The House. Loved 'em both, but this... it's just so weird. Laser Bitch is one of the goofiest songs I've ever heard. Love it.
2 Godspeed You! Black Emperor
F# A# (Infinity)

Brix shat. Mind = blow. The buildups, the crescendos, the ambience. Holy fuck. I'll listen to their other stuff once I'm able to stop listening to this.
3Neutral Milk Hotel
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

First time I listened to this, I though it was garbage. Typical indie nonsense. But for some reason, I was pulled to it again. And again. And again. Until it finally clicked. I love this album now. Two-Headed Boy, Ghost, and Communist Daughter get me all teary-eyed.
4 7 Angels 7 Plagues
Jhazmyne's Lullabye

Seriously great album. The way the heaviness and lighter melodies come together gets me hard. And I used to think that As I Lay Dying was the paragon of metalcore.
5Botch
We Are The Romans

Another great metalcore album. Haven't heard anything like this, really. Some seriously talented musicians in this band, I'll be checking out Misery Signals pretty soon.
6Mr. Bungle
California

whatisthisidonteven... What the hell is this?! Because I can't stop listening to it. Goofy, heavy, loud, catchy... This has it all.
7Pig Destroyer
Terrifyer

I didn't know that grindcore could be, you know... Emotional. Sure, it's not the layman's definition of grind, but still. Brutal, fast, powerful, and the lyrics are amazing too.
8Saetia
A Retrospective

I've been getting into screamo a lot more recently. These guys, Circle Takes The Square, and Hot Cross are instant classics as far as I'm concerned. So much emotion balanced with so much chaos. Great shit.
