02.22.10 | "Catchiest" already implies that it is the absolute catchy, so "Most" isn't needed. You could either say "The most catchy," or (preferably) simply "The catchiest." To use both is like saying "The most best."
And I love Eminem to death, but not only is that not the best rap album to come out since 'Tha Carter 3', but 'Tha Carter 3' shouldn't be used as a guidepost by which rap albums are rated (it ain't that good, IMO).
'Beggars' is good, will appear on my 2009 list. 'The Resistance' is all right, but probably their weakest album overall.

02.22.10 | In terms of dance-y singles, I like '"Uprising" more than "Supermassive Black Hole," and "Starlight" is probably my least favorite song of all by the band, but there's just not as much to like about 'The Resistance' IMO, whereas 'Black Holes...' has "Take A Bow," "Map of the Problematique" (one of my absolute favorite songs by the band), "Exo-Politics," "City of Delusion," and of course "Knights of Cydonia."
I don't know...it wasn't bad, and I probably liked it a bit more than a lot of people here, but I still couldn't help that slight feeling of disappointment after hearing it. |
