| I Need A New Mp3 Player, Recommend Me Something.
Okay, so right now I have an 80gb iPod Classic, and it is a piece of
shit. I've had it for about two years now, and it only holds a
charge for about two hours. I really like the UI of the iPod 9with
the cover art and stuff), and I'll be getting a Macbook Pro soon, so
the connectivity of the two is good, but I just can't afford a $250
mp3 player at this point.
So I want an mp3 player, that plays videos, will last a long time, is compatible with my iTunes library and is at least 80gb. Right now
it seems like my only option is an iPod. So any recommendations
you have would be great, thanks.

01.06.10 | Q: Is the IPOD battery replaceable?
A: Yes. Apple has an official out-of-warranty battery replacement program for $59 + $6.95 shipping in the United States

01.06.10 | Thanks. That sight is legit right? I'm pretty sure that iPods are REALLY hard to open up though, so installing the battery might be a problem. | Powerban
01.06.10 | It seems fairly legit, if you scroll down it has all your FAQs on it. | BenX02
01.06.10 | Thanks. I'll look into it.
But just so I can look at my options, does anybody have any recs for other, none iPod/Zune mp3 players? | Prophet178
01.06.10 | Well based on your criteria (especially iTunes sync, the iPod is the ONLY device that can sync with iTunes) your only choice is an iPod. Touch's only go up to 64gb, so that narrows your 2 choices down to only one: 80gb iPod Classic. | ninjuice
01.06.10 | I had the headphone component on mine replaced easily. They can probably replace the battery. | Lobotomie
01.06.10 | I have a Sony E-Series, for the price it's very hard to beat. It's iTunes compatible, plays videos and the sound is great.
Never had an iPod, so I couldn't compare.

01.06.10 | i have a touch
its awesome but i want a classic for the capacity even tho it's pretty glitchy | Emim
01.06.10 | Zune all the way. | Prophet178
01.06.10 | Can't sync Zunes on a Mac. | ScorpionStan
01.06.10 | convert your music files to mp3 format, and your options broaden considerably.
i STRONGLY recommend the Creative Zen mp3 player.

it's far better than an iPod, more features, better-looking screen, etc. it's only 32 gigs, but it has an SD card slot, so your capacity is unlimited in reality. and the sound quality is unbeatable...blows any iPod (including the Touch) out of the water. | DrunkBishyBoshy
01.06.10 | The only players with more than 64gb are iPod Clssic, Zune 120 and a few of the big PMP's (Archos, Cowon etc) but they're even more expensive. The Creative only goes up to 64GB (since the max in an SD card slot is 32GB)
Another iPod sounds like your best best unless you can put up with a lower capacity | zeppelinUSA
01.06.10 | Bought an used 120gb classic on ebay during the summer for about $150 and its still workin great | BenX02
01.06.10 | Thanks for the recommendations guys, it looks like I'm stuck with an iPod. Which isn't a bad thing I suppose. |
