TRMshadow
01.03.10 | 6 was surprisingly good, but expand your musical horizons, there is more to life than indie. |

01.03.10 | Transient - In regards to #11 (Amadou and Mariam), I was going by the US release date which was in 2009. Also, not a big fan of the Antlers, I found Hospice rather monotonous and boring... finally, you really feel the need to insult people? |
johnunderstood
01.03.10 | Wow somebody knows how to list every standard indie release of 2009. How about some variety in your life man. But i will say that some of these are excellent |
IRAI
01.03.10 | wow, no Hospice, or Post-Nothing on here.
I'm Surprised to say the least. |
EverAdrift
01.03.10 | IRAI - I found Hospice rather monotonous and depressing while Post-Nothing really just doesn't appeal to me at all.
Johnunderstood - Hey, I admitted from the beginning that my tastes lean heavily towards indie. I really do love these bands and this music; not sure what you'd have me listen to (much of what passes for 'Top 40 Pop' these days is awful and I'm just not a fan of metal or hip hop no matter how much I've tried to get into them). I have been trying to branch out, however, lately, I've been listening to a lot more 'world' music though there aren't particular albums that stand out to me as of yet. As I keep trying out new bands and such my lists will become more diverse. Regardless, this list accurately represents what I enjoyed most this year. |
Douglas
01.03.10 | Whoa, good list.
Though if you dig these from this year definitely check out:
Paul Dempsey - Everything Is True
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
Should dig them |
Transient
01.03.10 | wasn't really meant to be an insult, indiefag is just an easy summary of your music taste |
Aids
01.03.10 | Good list. I've only heard about 5 or 6 of these and about 4 or 5 of them were good. That's as specific as I'd like to be. |
Jemidu06
01.03.10 | thank you for having the balls to put 24 on there i thought that was great too.
other than that solid list, personally thought 5 sucked but it looks like we have similar tastes for the most part |
IRAI
01.03.10 | it's cool that you dont enjoy them.
i mean, to each their own, but from what i could tell, most that have your similarities of listage tended to enjoy those just as much.
i personally enjoyed those two a lot, for not being that into a lot of indie yet.
i cant get into MPP, if that's any indication. XD |
Dis_Con_Nec_Ted
01.03.10 | meh too much indie crap
