12.16.09 | sup. Boognish posting from Lyon, France. i won't be checking back on this list till tomorrow so make sure it hits at least 50 comments and has plenty of good old fashioned Boog-hate. ahh sputnik nostalgia |
SlightlyEpic
12.16.09 | I actually agree with you on all of these |
Nagrarok
12.16.09 | 2 rules, fuck you. I agree partly with 5, but Ten is a classic. |
Yotimi
12.16.09 | Actually agree on 7. The Description for 3 is close to how I feel except I would say 1995-2002. |
jagride
12.16.09 | Frusciante's still got it |
SeaAnemone
12.16.09 | These are agreeable for the most part. very little boog-hate from this end o' town. |
WatchItExplode
12.16.09 | so true on 2 |
bloc
12.16.09 | not to saying ive heard all of this, but the one's i have heard, i agree. |
TRMshadow
12.16.09 | so what? as soon as you make your best album, you call it quits? that doesn't make sense |
Bfhurricane
12.16.09 | I don't think Isis are necessarily past their prime. They have more solid albums left in them. |
Inveigh
12.16.09 | Can't really disagree with any of this |
intothepit83
12.16.09 | dont know.... you cant say radiohead is past their prime when everything they put out is different and better than most other music. isis is DEFINITELY not past their prime, considering their newest album is close to being album of the year for a lot of people.... but yes, NIN is done, pearl jam's BEEN done, and weezer, well, weezer's just a sad story lacking a country western song as it's backround music |
Scraped
12.16.09 | eat shit and die |
LepreCon
12.16.09 | I agree most with 8, band is hugely overrated on this site |
PuddlesPuddles
12.16.09 | You suck and are right about a couple of these |
MilesR
12.17.09 | Pixies is a sad sad story. For having 2 of the best rock albums ever to fall so low. QOTSA is in the same boat. Songs for the deaf was superb everything else has been a steady decline. The Flaming Lips and Radiohead are both in my my top 5 favourite bands and I agree with you for the Flaming Lips. However, I really liked in Rainbows. While it is no where near amnesiac, Kid A or Ok Computer I would not call it a decline. However they do have a new song out that is not very good. Leaving me to believe a new album would not be good. Fantastic list. |
EVedder27
12.17.09 | well obviously pearl jam isn't as good as they were in the 90s, even I will admit that. As for Frusciante The Empyrean was his most creative effort. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.17.09 | I don't agree with 9. Era Vulgaris is an outstanding album actually, the one before this was a dud though. I love 6 too, but Oceanic and Panopticon are definitely better. Other ones I can agree on. |
mckale
12.17.09 | people make 3 out to be a bigger fall than it was |
ameypv
12.17.09 | i feel the same abt 6,yet they ftw |
Dreamsoffew
12.17.09 | Your list needs Metallica |
ScorpionStan
12.17.09 | ^ ditto. why not throw in AC/DC while you're at it?
ok, 2 issues here:
Weezer never really had a "prime"
ISIS and TMV are just fine
|
Dreamsoffew
12.17.09 | John Frusciante has still got it goin' too |
ScorpionStan
12.17.09 | true. i've never been a huge Chili Peppers fan, but they're good enough and he's always been pretty cool. |
Dreamsoffew
12.17.09 | To be honest i'm against most of this list, except for Weezer.
And you can't really include Pixies, seeing as how they haven't released anything as of late. Can't really make a judgement call on something you haven't heard. |
ScorpionStan
12.17.09 | yeah i can think of many much more appropriate bands for a list with this title. |
BrandNewBoognish
12.17.09 | Pixies can be on this list, for the reason i gave in the description. |
Fuff24
12.17.09 | 8,5,4,6,1, and 10 you are spot on with. I disagree with 7 though |
NigelH
12.17.09 | 7 and 9 are coming off two of the strongest releases of their careers. 10 should grow a pair and release something new, but I understand them not wanting to do it. At least they are still touring.... |
BrandNewBoognish
01.28.10 | era vulgaris is awful |
