My Biggest Let-downs

Here's a list of HUGE let downs in my life. Bands I love(d) and albums that just weren't what I expected...
1Eighteen Visions
Eighteen Visions

I mean, I can't say I didn't see it coming after what happened to A7X and Atreyu, their OC breatheren,
but
it still made me sad to see this Arena-rock as their final album before the break up.
2From Autumn to Ashes
Abandon your Friends

I guess it took an album for Frances to figure out that he could write good music, sing well, and scream
with some nuts because I loved Holding the Wolf By the Ears, but this was weak sauce.
3All That Remains
Overcome

The routine castration of metal...
4Between the Buried and Me
The Great Misdirect

Personally, I thought Colors was a fuckin' MASTERPIECE. This was back to their old, churning and
chugging ways. There's just not enough memorable material here compared to Colors.
5Drop Dead, Gorgeous
Worse Than a Fairy Tale

The dude's voice just isn't solid enough to hold this album together. And without the intensity, the
whole
thing just doesn't do it for me.
6Saosin
Saosin

I know that Anthony Green left the band well before this album, but how come when the singer leaves,
the rest of the band loses it's testicles... I don't get it. I was expecting more from this debut after ALL
the
hype from their EP's.
7 Coheed and Cambria
Good Apollo, I'm a Burning Star IV...

WELCOME HOME is the greatest song Coheed ever wrote. I heard this song, and got SO pumped for this
album. Then I heard the rest of the album and was let down SO bad. This is their weakest album by far,
but for some reason, they have a few diamonds in the rough. It's not terrible, no, but it's just not up to
their usual.
8It Dies Today
Sirens

The Catiff Chior is one of my favorite metalcore albums. This follow up was simply following the trend
of
hardcore and metal bands going softer. And not well enough to make it great.
9Poison the Well
Versions

I don't know, just not really my cup of tea. They were intense enough to keep me listening when they
were hardcore, but this sort of indie-rock-hardcore thing they did just bored me. And the fact that
they
can't pull off most of it live because they are a 3-piece off it. They play with 2 random people, and have
to
pick and chose the songs because of all the different instruments they aren't going to play live... Not a
fan
of that school of thought when writing an album.
10Throwdown
Deathless

This has only been out a few days and I'm already disappointed in it. They totally stepped the intensity
down. This is a much slower, much more churning album. It just does not excite at all.
