Brand New And Manchester Orchestra
Going to see these two tonight, it better be great. List is digs. Go
ahead and rec me something if you want. Looking for good hip-hop,
good indie, or good screamo that I probably havent heard. |
| 1 | | Brand New The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me
Obviously. Daisy was good, but this is still their best. I can't wait for
Degausser and You won't know live. |
| 2 | | Manchester Orchestra Mean Everything to Nothing
Also obvious. Shake it out is my favorite from this. Some great emotion and
I heard they're real good live. |
| 3 | | Mesa Verde The Old Road
Oh wow. I absolutely love this but somehow feel like I'll love it way more by
the time I'm done with it. Post-Youth gets me hard. |
| 4 | | mewithoutYou Brother, Sister
Or maybe just every album by them, but this is my favorite and its been
getting a lot of spins lately. |
| 5 | | Gravediggaz 6 Feet Deep
RZA. Used to not like his rap as much as the other WTC members but now
he's probably number 3 to GZA and ghost. |
| 6 | | In Pieces Lions Write History
I want to like this as much as Nick Greer does. |
| 7 | | Kayo Dot Choirs of the Eye
Sputnik has actually brainwashed me enough to listen to this and think it
blows but also know I'm completely wrong and some day I'll love it. But I've
been listening to it a lot lately because its about time I saw what this was
all about. |
| 8 | | Maybeshewill Sing The Word Hope In Four-Part Harmony
That riff in how to have sex with a ghost gets me every time |
| 9 | | Mew Frengers
Have never checked out their other stuff. Mostly because if I ever want to
hear Mew I put on Frengers and im satisfied. I dont feel the need to change
that. |
| 10 | | The Fall of Troy Doppelganger
It's weird how you can stand back and look at the talent required to make
an album like this but then you actually listen to it and don't think its that
good. I actually do like this album a lot though I just feel like I should like it
more. |
| 11 | | Rishloo Eidolon
Thank you to whoever on here turned me on to this. Love Omega. |
| 12 | | RZA Afro Samurai Soundtrack
Watched Afro Samurai the other night. Totally not my style but I watched it
because I knew the RZA made the soundtrack. Enjoyed it way more than I
expected and the song fury in my eyes caught my ear, been playing that a
whole lot lately. |
| 13 | | Thursday Common Existence
Something that has always bothered me about Thursday is that I always
feel like even when Geoff is singing his heart out it doesn't feel as strong as
it should. Like hes singing into a pillow or something. Saw him live and that
aspect of his singing was completely gone, and they were great. Wish they
played you were the cancer though. |
| 14 | | Trophy Scars Bad Luck
Bad Dreams, Anna Lucia, Toronto, Nola, and Good Luck are killer. The rest I
don't think I've listened to since around a week after the album dropped. I
should re-listen to make sure i didnt miss anything. |
| 15 | | United Nations United Nations
I have no idea if I like this or not. But it has a bunch of cool people getting
heavy, so I put it on and act like I do at least. |
| 16 | | Against Me! The Acoustic EP
I believe when I checked Against Me! out on this site the first time this had
a 4.1 and Reinventing Axl Rose had a 4.3. Now they're both 4.2. Thats why
we totally need to go two decimal places. |
| 17 | | AmpLive Rainydayz Remixes
This is really only good for video tapez with del but thats some good shit. |
| 18 | | Animal Collective Merriweather Post Pavilion
I still spin this every once in awhile just to try to see what Im missing. So
far it seems like nothing, although I do like my girls and lion in a coma.
Sometimes it takes me forever to get into something though so Ill keep
trying |
| 19 | | BATS Red In Tooth & Claw
This came out of nowhere to blow me away. Although I think ill probably
change from 4.5 to 4 on this, it still rules. |
| 20 | | Brian Eno Ambient 1: Music For Airports
Hell yeah i study to this, and you should too. Also if I ever owned and
operated an airport, this would totally be playing nonstop. |
| 21 | | CFCF Panesian Nights
Sogni Rossi totally sounds like it could be out of sonic 2 chemical plant zone |
| 22 | | Chiodos All's Well That Ends Well
I hope Craig didn't name this album. MIRITE?? Nah but this gets a lot of
hate and maybe Ill get some too but at the time I felt like this was kind of
cool and unique. Maybe I was totally wrong, but it was unique and cool for
me at least. Now every scenester band strives to be like this so it isnt really
cool or unique, but Chiodos hold a place in my heart for being the band that |
| 23 | | Chiodos Bone Palace Ballet
Plays the music that I now consider generic, but wasn't generic when I
heard it. I hope that all made sense. |
| 24 | | Circa Survive Juturna
Infinitely better than OLG as a whole album, but OLG had a few songs that
were better than a lot of Juturna. Anyways been playing this a lot in
anticipation of album 3 from them. I predict right now their third album will
be nothing but fantastic. |
| 25 | | Converge Jane Doe
Im really not much of a metal guy, never have been. And i might get yelled
at for not referring to them as metalcore infused with elements of chaotic
screamo with grindcore influenced drums or some crap. Long story short Im
trying to like converge and its been a difficult journey. |
| 26 | | Deftones White Pony
I think the biggest problem I have with liking this album as a whole is that I
liked tool and APC first, so all I want to do is hear Maynard on passenger,
and then i dont want to hear Chino. I do like change and elite though. |
| 27 | | Foxy Shazam Introducing
What a great album, what a great band. Their new stuff on their myspace
sounds great too, cant wait for that third album. |
| 28 | | Emery ...In Shallow Seas We Sail
This is right up my alley but for some reason i ignored it up until now.
Needless to say I love it. I also really like the combination with their EP's
name: While broken hearts prevail in shallow seas we sail. |
| 29 | | HORSE the band desperate living
The only song I really play a lot off this is the failure of all things. But thats
only because when I want to hear music like this thats the only song I want
to hear. |
| 30 | | Tech N9ne Everready (The Religion)
Im totally making some caribou lou pretty soon. |
