09.23.09 | Welcome to American Cable News
Would you like an order of left or right bias or perhaps a pseudo-moderate stance is your flavor?

scyther
09.23.09 | The only valid conservatism is to preserve change. |
PanasonicYouth
09.23.09 | i'm actually an anarchist. not the retarded-ass YEA PUNK RAWK ANARCHY LETS GO DO STUPID SHIT anarchy, tho.
i guess you could say i'm like far far far far right winged but only strictly in the sense that i want the smallest possible government ruling over me, preferably no government at all |
PanasonicYouth
09.23.09 | yeah. it's pretty sad. |
scyther
09.23.09 | The far-right is fascism. A small administration of governing people with the most power. When an anarchist says small government they mean a government with no central authority. |
MassiveAttack
09.23.09 | Beck is a fucking idiot, just like the rest of the FOX News crew. |
MassiveAttack
09.23.09 | Derekchewie that was fucking hilarious, that scream was fantastic. |
Skyler
09.23.09 | Libertarians are also far far right, which support as little government as possible. |
qwe3
09.23.09 | Holy ghosts,
When do you come out to play?
Cause if the lord is gonna find me
He'd better start looking todayyyyyyyyyy |
scyther
09.23.09 | The biggest governments are moderate, trying to appease as many people as possible. The smallest actual government is the far-left, which doesn't allow anyone to take a higher political seat than anyone else. The small right-wing fascist governments concentrate their elitism through a small administrative medium, but they're entitlement allows them to breach any aspect of society and re-work it as they see fit. |
PanasonicYouth

Lunarfall
09.24.09 | lol at conservatism and small government. both (U.S.) democrats and republicans of today support large tyrannical government and you're a moron if you think otherwise |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | I used to think there should be no government at all when I was 16-17. Then I grew up. If you honestly think this world would be anything but absolute idiotic chaos without someone (corrupt or not) ruling over this bunch or morons we call the general population you are either really dense, young, or delusional. You are right about one thing though. Beck is a moron as is every perpetuated mass opinion on television.
I mean, I support small government, but there does need to be some framework for society to function normally. Just look at fucking Somalia for the answer to your no government desire. |
scyther
09.24.09 | Don't pull that "I grew up" shit. Today, without a central authority society would fail but real maturity lies in the bond of trust that would uphold anarchy. It's a goal, not a dream. |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | LOL, scyther that goal grows further and further every day. You're blind if you don't see that. Anarchy works if social classes and hierachies don't exists. It works if social and economic interaction don't exist. Then again working by this definition is living like animals where you hunt for your food and your only interaction is competition with others of your species.
Sure, it sounds great in theory. Everyone does their trade. No government. We all live in peace and harmony blah blah. 16 year old hopeless dreams.
Someguest's reply is nothing more than a copout response while probably being partially true. I'm just saying I grew out of my anarchy days a long time ago. |
scyther
09.24.09 | No, you opted out of your anarchy days. Adults have successfully experimented with anarchy in the past, hell not even fifteen minutes away from where I live, back in the day.
Social and economic interaction don't change at all under anarchy, except for the fact that currency no longer exists. What does that mean? It means that gas station will stay there but the price signs will be taken down. Like I said, bond of trust, the only government that cannot be corrupted, which is why it's perfect. |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | Like I said before, it sounds great, but would not work. Without someone to rule over the land, people will do what they want to get what they want. It's simple human nature. As long as humans have interacted on a non-animalistic level, there has always been some form of leadership or government or at least in successful civilizations. The bond of trust is not possible. People act like moronic animals without some form of law.
Just look at how people act when any kind of serious economic shortage or problem arises. People go nuts and will kill each other for only semi-valuable resources. Have you ever studied Somalia? It's the only country without any real form of government. Consequently, that country is the worst in the world. |
scyther
09.24.09 | I agree with everything you say, so long as we're talking about the present. Your error is to assume that humans can't change. |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | Human nature is pretty unchangeable, but also how would one go about attempting such a feat? |
scyther
09.24.09 | You disregard evolution. When you're hungry, do you kill and cook up the nearest living thing? When you're horny do you rape the nearest person? Your ancestors used to behave like that. Our nature has been changing since we were bacteria.
Attempting to re-educate an entire race of people is a topic for hundreds of years and trillions of dollars. Doesn't sound too appealing to corporate society, eh? |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | That's not the same. The difference is that I'm not in desperate need of things I need like food. Also, after taking anthropology classes I've learned that modern humans are not the only branch of hominids to have culture (albeit on a very minor scale) and act civil. Hell, neanderthals while not proven to be direct human ancestors had burial rituals. Many precursors to our species today had enough social understanding not to rape when they were horny.
Also, what do you need to attempt to re-educate these people. Government organization and government funding. |
scyther
09.24.09 | Our uber-capitalist nature would be numbed in anarchy since there is no profit in business, only progress.
The government's money is our money, don't ever forget that. |
scyther
09.24.09 | In other words greed would be obsolete. |
Eakflanderyof
09.24.09 | It is indeed our money, but it is not in OUR hands specifically. Thus, we would need government funding because nobody is personally going to organize the teaching. Not to mention, people wouldn't assimilate themselves into this teaching lesson without higher coercion. |
scyther
09.24.09 | Who says we need to organize a teaching community? People don't listen to teachers, they like politicians better. This is a political matter. If somebody could actually speak truth without being stifled or fucking assassinated, that would be all we'd need. People aren't THAT stupid, we don't need to put them in a class. We just need people to speak to them about re-educating themselves. |
scyther
09.24.09 | *Trustworthy people I might add, namely someone elected to public office. |
Emim
09.24.09 | I laugh at the naive perfect world proposed. Nuff said. |
scyther
09.24.09 | I'm sorry I should have been specific, the funding would support campaigns, not schooling. |
scyther
09.24.09 | And as I'm sure you know, campaign funding is individual fund-raising, not government cash. |
PanasonicYouth
09.24.09 | i think that, while he was batshit insane from all the lsd and pot and various other drugs, john lennon was indeed right
