07.01.09 | your second half is kinda weak really. First half is sick though, so overall list is a win. |
Poet
07.01.09 | lol 10 is so perfect. |
Knott-
07.01.09 | yeah i basically need more awesome post-hardcore. second half was almost difficult to scrape together! |
ScorpionStan
07.01.09 | yeah you need some help on the second half. although it's tough if you don't like metal...
anything by Chevelle will start wars. preferrably Antisaint, Wonder What's Next, Family System, Comfortable Liar, or The Clincher
also Narcotic and The Victim by Dead Poetic
Ten Ton Brick by Hurt is a pretty devastating riff
New Noise by Refused is awesome, although idk if it's too "metal" for you
Pretty much anything by Rise Against
Mu Empire by Glassjaw
also Wake Up & The Antidote by Story of the Year
All My Balloons by Children 18:3
Gravedigging by The Classic Crime
Dance of the Manatee by Fair To Midland
anything from Finch, preferrably the song Project Mayhem
and Firebreather is a much better "war-starter" song from Thrice than TAITA
there's way more i can't think of lol but those are all pretty devastating without really being "metal."

07.01.09 | What about Overcome - by RX Bandits? |
Knott-
07.01.09 | Wellll as you can see from the first half it's hardly peace-protest songs, it's more to do with the aesthetics of the songs (i.e. the first 12 all relax and shock the hell out of me with their beauty). thanks for the recs, but yeah i'm a way away from metal in terms of taste, i keep trying to fix that but still haven't managed it. post-hardcore is fine, though, and i need to check some more glassjaw out. TAITA is one of my favourite songs lyrically ever so i went for that although i was tempted to throw firebreather in too.
although i did just see you rec'd me story of the year so now i'm skeptical :p
and yes i also need to check out some more finch. SHTS is next on my must-gets. |

ScorpionStan
07.01.09 | haha well actually i hate Story of the Year mostly. those 2 songs are really good though.
and yeah Finch is great. depending on where you draw the line between post-hardcore and metal, you'd probably like alot of Deftones too. |
kitsch
07.01.09 | finch is bullshit i remember being in like 7th grade and buying what it is to burn and finding out that what it is to burn is the only goddamn song on that entire cd that is any good. it is a badass song tho |
TricksterGRex
07.01.09 | The rest of the album was what was to burn. |
syco722
07.01.09 | I recommend metal. lots and lots of metal. |
