| Top Five Favorite Albums Ever
My top five favorite albums of all time. A lot of thought has gone into this so it's not likely to change anytime soon. No particular order as far as the list goes | 1 | | Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
I am not a huge ska fan but this album I have listened to probably over 75 times over three years and I'm still not sick of it. Tom Kalnoky pens some of the best lyrics I've ever heard for this album and the horn parts are by far some of the best in the genre | 2 | | Radiohead Kid A
This is an album I can't listen to very often but whenever I do it never fails to penetrate emotions into me that I didn't think music could. | 3 | | The Beatles Abbey Road
Endlessly original and show cases the bands pinnacle of blending pop song writing and unexpected turns in music. The medley at the end of the album is famous and one of the best musical moments ever | 4 | | The Grateful Dead American Beauty
Now I am a huge fan of their live material but this album captures a true musical spirit that is hard to pin down. The two songs "Ripple" and "Brokedown Palace" are reasons enough to listen to this album, but there isn't a bad song on here and the album keeps it's pace quite nicely | 5 | | Nick Drake Pink Moon
This album is only about 29 min long and was recorded in a night but completely captures the feeling of Nick Drake. His two earlier albums were good but too much of bloated background music brought down his beautiful songwriting. Right here it's just him and a guitar and it feels like a good friend is sitting in a dark room across from you singing you these songs | |

03.04.09 | 1, 2, and 5 are grand! | myhigherpie
03.04.09 | i surprisingly like 1. | ECRbubs
03.04.09 | I like I like. | thunderzstruck
03.04.09 | and why don't you own any of these? too much metal on sputnik and i think some of the genres on here are under appreciated | MassiveAttack
03.04.09 | thats one serious looking Antonio Banderas (sp?) | SeaAnemone
03.04.09 | Somewhere In The Between is much better...
Yea yea yea, Radiohead and Beatles, seen it before.
Unexpected choice with Grateful Dead, can't say that they're my cup of tea.
Nick Drake, very highly acclaimed, though I've never been able to PENETRATE his music myself. | thunderzstruck
03.04.09 | I disagree with Somewhere in the Between being better. While still being a fantastic album, I can't say it matches their debut as far as raw energy. And the lyrics aren't quite as good (in my opinion)
Radiohead and Beatles are common favorites but that's because they do deserve it for setting music standards.
Grateful Dead are one of the greatest bands to ever play on this earth.
And it was Kid A I was mentioning as far as "penetrating." So me neither :P | Cesar
03.04.09 | 1 is the greatest album ever to be made. | dankeyes11
03.04.09 | 3 and 5 are classics
2 is good
not a big fan of 1 and 4
there's more love for other genres than you might think. the metal people tend to be loudest tho haha (which isn't a bad thing as 90% of people in the world under-appreciate metal). | SylentEcho
03.04.09 | 3 is great, 4 is ok | Baphomet
03.04.09 | ewwwww... |
