11.29.23 | I'd put OP above Killer but solid list. Agreed that Running Board is top DEP |

11.29.23 | I think Ire Works is my favourite but you can basically rank them however you want and I’ll be like “yeah that makes sense.” |
BAT
11.29.23 | option paralysis is my #1 but i'm glad to see ire works getting some love. surprised you've got option so low cause i feel like ire was the blue print for op/killer/disso. calc is also top 3 but probably cause its the first dillinger album i had |
JohnnyoftheWell
11.29.23 | dissociation at 8 is by far the best part of this list |

11.29.23 | Disagree tho that no other songs on OP reach the heights of Farewell Mona Lisa. Always thought Gold Teeth on a Bum, Widower, Chinese Whispers, and I Wouldn’t if You Didn’t were pretty damn amazing too. Overall I think OP is quite a bit stronger than Killer. Killer always seemed pretty generic to me (by Dillinger standards) |

11.29.23 | I’m not mad running board is so high, I’m just mad CI is so low. |

11.30.23 | 1. Dissociation: I’m fine that this feels like a “greatest hits” of the bands career. Every single song feels like it could be at home on any given TDEP album. Perfect swan song imo
2. Ire Works: Experimentation paying off. The pop elements feel right and home and Greg’s vocals really lend themselves well to more melodic tracks. And Mouth of Ghosts is the goat Dillinger track for me.
3. Option Paralysis: Really just feels like a total refinement of what they achieved on Miss Machine.
4. Irony is a Dead Scene: Mike Patton
5. One of Us is The Killer: People like to shit on the record for going a little too radio friendly or whatever. Cool with me. The title track is probably the best Greg ever sounded on a softer song. Prancer, When I Lost My Bet, Hero of the Soviet Union are absolutely fucking cutthroat, and Crossburner and The Threat Posed By Nuclear Weapons close the record on an intense note after two straight records with softer closers
6. Miss Machine: Proof of concept for the rest of their career with Greg. A little rough around the edges but there’s not a single dud here. Baby’s First Coffin and We Are the Storm are all timers
7. Calculating Infinity: Loses points for lack of variety. The title track and Weekend Sex Change are really the only two tracks to diversify the tracklist, and they’re both awesome, but this record really feels like a band finding their footing before really taking off. But it obviously has 43% Burnt, which is an absolute barn burner of a track, and shows almost right off the bat that Dillinger ain’t fuckin around. It also changed the landscape of heavy music and is almost definitely the most influential mathcore record ever. When rock and metal were plagued by dogshit nu metal and post grunge bands, Dillinger quickly became trailblazers in the underground scene and for that this record deserves all the respect in the world.
To be clear, all of these records would probably land in my Top 100 of all time. |

11.30.23 | Calculating Infinity’s production is fuckin perfect lol. Miss Machine probably technically sounds the worst, but none of them are bad |

11.30.23 | CI's production is excellent throughout most of the album but there are moments where it sounds weak, namely the breakdown of The Running Board which has always irritated me, since it's my favorite song on the album. |
