| Type O Negative Ranked | 1 | | Type O Negative Bloody Kisses
The highest highlights of the band's career and consistently entertaining throughout. Even if it is a purposely disjointed product as a whole, it represents the band's core sound well. 10/10 | 2 | | Type O Negative World Coming Down
The most cohesive Type O album (yes, even the Day Tripper cover, it's a nice palette cleanser after everything before being so grim). 9/10, and it has the highest replay value out of their discog. | 3 | | Type O Negative October Rust
I see why so many rank this at the top and it is the culmination of the band's sonic progression (it makes sense that LIKYM was basically a sonic reset point following OR). It's the most evocative of their autumnal themes and it has the most outstanding bass and keyboards of their career. What holds it back is that a few of the instrumentals sound fairly similar. Haunted is a decent closer but could've been a bonus track, as Wolf Moon would've been more appropriate to finish the album. 8/10. | 4 | | Type O Negative Dead Again
The second coming of Bloody Kisses sonically, but replacing the spontaneity and pleasant amateurishness with refinement and maturity. It was my number 2 album the first few times I listened to the band's discography, but some of the catchier moments have worn thin and some songs sound like stitched together disparate parts. Still, very strong and deeply underrated. 8/10. | 5 | | Type O Negative The Origin of the Feces
A performer messing with the audience is one of the funniest bits in my opinion and while OotF might be a faux live album, it still gets the gag across in an entertaining manner, while streamlining the Slow, Deep, and Hard tracks it includes. I enjoy these versions more than the debut for the most part. 7/10. | 6 | | Type O Negative Life Is Killing Me
Interchangeable in ranking with 5, LiKM has some very strong highlights and some cool ideas, but like Dead Again, some of the songs sound like stitched together segments and it's their least ambitious and creative album, one that I frequently forget about when thinking about the band. Still an enjoyable listen, just not one I tend to revisit all the way through. 7/10. | 7 | | Type O Negative Slow, Deep, and Hard
Despite the opening track being likely my most listened Type O song, much of this album sounds undeveloped and the band's sound was very much a work in progress. They'd mastered hardcore before this album's release (as evidenced by Carnivore), but their doom and goth metal tendencies were still in their infancy, as the band struggles to conjure the atmosphere and tone necessary to make doom metal engaging much of the time here. At equal times charmingly and irritatingly amateurish. 6/10. | |

11.23.23 | Solid ranking, top three are my top three as well, 1 and 2 switch often tho
For me, 6=7 > 4 > 5 | GhandhiLion
11.23.23 | Slow, Deep, and Hard has some of the best atmosphere on a metal album. Not sure what you mean by "struggles".
