| Back in the states
So I’m finally back in the states after two years in Japan. It’s a bittersweet feeling; on one hand, I’m gonna miss a lot of people out there. On the other hand, sometimes I wish I could do it all over, just under different circumstances. Just exploring Japan without the burdens of alcoholism, depression, self-isolation, all that shit. But as Brandon (TheSpirit)’s tragic passing has taught me, you’ve gotta cherish the little time you have on this earth, as the rug could be pulled out from under you at any moment. Welcome back to the states man! Had no idea you'd went to Japan on an extended stay but that's awesome. Always wanted to uproot to another country but I'm a habitual creature who fears change and I've never taken that leap. @pitchfork: I was working at the Naval base there. So it was a combination of both American and Japanese civilians/military. But the language barrier was honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. Plus, at sushi joints, they usually had an iPad menu you could plug your order into | PitchforkArms
