(2022) Retrospective review history of STIGMATIZED

Here I get a bit more personal with my reviews. discus how it was to review the albums I have. Idk a bit of insight into "le process" and how I was reviewing and other thoughts and all.
1Toadies
Hell Below/Stars Above

First review I did; basically impromptu to the maximum and as a result is my bare emotional stance on it with nothing else. that as well means it sorta sucks but its not as bad as the Sevas Tra review. i mean after not doing reviews for years, I guess it proved I could still do something about it, so idk.

Will forever be one of my favourite guitar albums though; playing the album's riffs are fun.
2Otep
Sevas Tra

I thought the first review was too light and shallow, so I went in again, and went rather deep. I found my knack for long detailed stuff here, but there was so much of me trying to make myself a "big thing" that as a result the review had several factual inaccuracies and was not fun to read; i was trying to write wikipedia when this is sputnikmusic lmao. I disowned this review as a result almost immediately after I realised how bad it was.

Oh also happy 20th birthday 18/6/2002
3Otep
Hydra

Easily my least favourite album and review process; I was like "i dont like this album, let me get it out the way so I can shut the fuck up". I sat down for basically four hours on repeat and I wore myself to the bone mentally and therefore I got (evidently) VERY, VERY PISSED. Aside from formatting issues, I wouldn't do this again. At least I never have to think about it again. I sorta got the detail better here and then cut it down. I still stand by the points, however.

Praise Him

After being exhausted for god knows how long, I wanted to make a lighthearted thing where I could take stabs at shit and be deserved. Making the jokes was the hardest part, and i'm probably sad to think some are still funny but oh well. I don't think people got the irony of the fact it was a joke immediately however.

megadeth selling out on "peace sells" is hands down my biggest lol moment

Melinda

I actually started this review back around "sevas tra" before I did Hydra. It got stuck in the backburner because it constantly changed, as every time I listened to it or read lyrics my interpretation changed. Still pleased with the end result I guess and here's where I sorta get the standards for the future.

ALSO SENPAI AKA MIKE COULTER NOTICED THIS REVIEW LOL
6Scary Kids Scaring Kids
Out Of Light

I saw SKSK had some new record so i was like "hmm..." but I am very skeptical to every reunion album (because of the Dismemberment Plan) and every tribute album (because of XXXTentacion). Unfortunately, my fears were proved correct. I had like actual moments where I was like "the fuck?" verbally and my parents picked up on it but lol I hid it anyway. Was my first "successful' review, still very very happy with it.

7Pure Rubbish
Pure Rubbish EP

Was difficult initially but worked my way through it when i honed in the writing at the end, using SKSK review as a baseline/template to speed up the process. Still don't know how these guys never broke out, just bad luck.
8Post Malone
Twelve Carat Toothache

It was so depressing and short trying to get points to write about was hard. But that did help shape the way I saw the album. Still, not worth it when I had to make this review over uh 5 hours and then into 12am lol.

I am still worried that people don't understand what the album is, rather than it being "boring". It isn't perfect but it isn't being understood as intended. In this sense I know it can sound pretentious, but its organic edge/mood gives it that extra merit
9Slayer
Undisputed Attitude

This was a work in progess, finished it sometime later (two weeks vague). I nearly missed my RS exam over this review because I thought the exam happened later; I still was able to do it and slayed (sic) it. It needed a non-joke review even if the joke review is funny though
10Campfire Girls
Mood Enhancer E.P.

I still can't remember how I found these dudes but they grew on me. Not massively special, but still interesting. Doing the review was hard and was initally entited "a suburban portrait", but at 2am i stopped giving a fuck and named it after my chemcial romance. I know I double posted lmao but I got sick of thinking about it for a month.
11downset.

This was really hard to review because I knew what i felt, but coudln't express it. So I decided to express my thoughts over the "comeback/political cringe" shit and had the great idea to make it a medical themed review. I will likely revive the SAHC for other bad reviews. It paid off. Also planning on doing s/t and universal for the lols?

SAHC MEDICAL LIST: SORD-16, NFS Disorder, tbc
12Switched
Subject to Change

I made a backburner a while ago, and without any ideas I quickly whipped this up in two hours before an exam, and was fun. Don't worry; I slayed that exam.
13Alanis Morissette
the storm before the calm

Isn't it ironic when you stay up till 2am to do a review on mediation/sleeping? yeah lmao. It did actually help he though so shrug. I do believe however people will write this off in the same fashion of Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie however because it's spacey and inaccessible. Both the storm and this album are definitely spiritually related. Please though; don't neg the album because it's not typical Morissette.

oh and it got featured or something wowza, and it remains my most seen review.

14Machine Head
Civil Unrest

Its a problem to me how political rock has fallen off. I wasn't sure how to express it so it's half review, half philosophy and ethics. I do RS anyway so its a bit natural to me to want to write lots of stuff about pointless topics lol. Was frustrating though and a significant chunk of the text was cut out from the final review
15Weezer
SZNZ: Summer

Really hard to write up, got there eventually? I mean weezer is weezer; idk broski. Anyway now i can focus on good stuff.

Girls

I spent 8 days and 1 aborted version on this review. Slightly unfinished, but good enough.

Le Cock Sportif

Nearly four months later, I finally return. There are several scrapped or unfinished reviews I attempted during this period but I was so exhausted with exams as well as the fact that I do not want to sit down anymore because my legs and muscles have been deteriorating badly because all I do is sit all the time and it makes me so angry because it's all I fucking do and I don't know why

also this album triggered me and my experiences of being sexually harrased so fuck this album to hell. 1/5 go fuck yourselves. I know my otep hydra review was very angry but here I had a reason to be. So it's not as rambling as the other one.
