2021 TOP 10
It's the most happiest time of the year. Music for a nightmare era |
1 | | The Ruins Of Beverast The Thule Grimoires
This guy never disappoints. His strongest album in my opinion. Influences are all over the place from black metal to goth and post rock. Never got old. |
2 | | Panopticon ...And Again into the Light
Austin created something real beautiful here. This marks a return of form it also leaves off on a hopeful note. |
3 | | Cannibal Corpse Violence Unimagined
With O'Brien out of the band after acting like a lunatic, I was a bit concerned. Rutan actually delivered with some of the best songs/riffs they've had in years. Condemnation Contagion is a real stand out. |
4 | | Monolord Your Time to Shine
These riffs will beat you over the head with their heaviness and you will like it dammit. Some of the catchiest songs they've had in years. And overall, their most well rounded album. |
5 | | Tyler, the Creator Call Me If You Get Lost
Tyler is really in his element here and is not afraid to tell you who he is. |
6 | | Grima Rotten Garden
Black metal from literal forest spirits in Russia. Seriously though...some sick black metal with the trademark eastern European accordion. |
7 | | Leon III Antlers in Velvet
A refreshing take on psychedelia and folk. |
8 | | Portal Awow
Chaotic fuzz noise put to creaking door vocals. It's quiet the experience... |
9 | | Wode Burn in Many Mirrors
Not as great as their previous work but great nonetheless. Just wish it was a tad more heavier. |
10 | | Godspeed You! Black Emperor G_d's Pee AT STATE'S END!
A welcome return of form. I have always wanted more from them though. |
