A shower that became a grower. My main gripe has always been not being a biggest fan of the song structures on this. It's like prog played exactly how you could predict and extremely digestible for how extravagant it is. But I mean, nothing here sounds or has the punch of Sun of Nothing/Ants of the Sky. It's like the songs pkay themselves out but don't stick out as more meaningful to me. Just a personal aside there. | | 6 |  | Between the Buried and Me

Big Alaska boy, but I don't ever really need to listen to this anymore. I used to have it at the two spot, but that's because it's (still) probably one of the best metalcore/prog deliverances, it's just there's more now to be found in the other material above and there is a tad bit lackluster songwriting here and there amongst some of the more repeated parts. | | 7 |  | Between the Buried and Me

Previous rank THREE. I mean, I love this, and considered putting it under TGM. This album has passages that are more evoking of the classic Between the Buried and Me riff structures than most of Silent Circus. The first half of Shevanel Cut a Flip pummels as well as the first time you heard it- and I might be crazy, but I think P1 took some pointers from this. 08.25.21 | Yeah, I really love Condemned to the Gallows and Blot, and my gf likes Millions and Condemned, so it gets the greater value of plays, even though A2 is probably closest to TGM and A1 is closer to Ecliptic.
