Alexagon 01.25.21	Thanks for the response y'all. I'm not too interested in folk or metal music atm. Enemies seems promising, I'll give them a listen later. I wasn't able to get into any Rishloo besides the song Feathergun. vocals are good but their music wasn't doing it for me besides the one song. Haven't given Black Peaks a real shot yet. Leprous didn't hook me, and neither did Children of Nova.

Alexagon 01.26.21	I've listened to 1 and 2, couldn't get into them. I listened to 3 years ago, don't remember liking or disliking. I'll check them out again. I've not heard of 4, 5, or 6. I was trying to think of more upbeat stuff with front ladies that fit the bill, but those were the only two that came to mind at the moment If you aren't into Alter Bridge, Anthrax might not be in your interests, either. Ecnalzen 01.26.21	Have you messed with Shoutboxing yet? If you click someone's username it will take you to their page and their shoutbox is at the bottom. Type something in there and hit post and the user will get a notification about it, and vice versa. You can also look thru a users' ratings, lists, reviews, etc Or you can just comment in this again and it will pop up in my discussions Or both! Whatever works. I feel like reccing multiple things is better in lists or in a review thread than on someone's shoutbox. I also want to say a shoutbox message maxes out after a fairly small amount of characters, too, but I don't remember for sure

Of course, with The Reign of Kindo comes the absolutely essential follow-up recommendation: Thank You Scientist - 'Maps of Non-Existent Places' or 'Stranger Heads Prevail' Hold up, hold up...we have some really good band recommendations, but no albums. Allow me: Fair To Midland - 'Arrows & Anchors' Secret & Whisper - 'Great White Whale' Dead Letter Circus - 'This Is The Warning' The Butterfly Effect - 'Imago' And damn it, since you've already mentioned a couple of the best Australian alt-rock bands, why not just throw in what might be the best of all of them (and I think you might really like his vocals based on the list) Karnivool - 'Sound Awake' or 'Themata' 'Sound Awake' is definitely more of a showcase of his vocals, and is more progressive than 'Themata', but 'Themata' is probably overall...catchier, in a Chevelle-esque sort of way (his voice is a little grittier). And then...what else? OH! This one, too Days Away - 'Mapping An Invisible World' With each and every one of these albums, you will not go wrong with vocals. All of them are amazing singers with phenomenal range, I have no idea how they do the things they do. Just depends on your taste whether they'll work for you.

His cleans are good but growls are awful and ruin it for me. Secret was okay, thought it was a bit on the boring side. Couldn't get into Karnivool either. I'll check out the others though.

Alexagon 01.26.21	I'm not really into pop punk, no. Not a fan of punk, nor pop rock really. Also, it's Alexa not Alex haha. I'm also not specifically looking for female vox. I think the guys above in the thread made it seem that way lol. I liked the sound of Enemies but there didn't seem to be any vocals so I'm not sure why that was recommended. Listened to some of the other stuff said on this thread but nothing is catching me so far.

I do really like the vocals and overall sound on that album, but the rest of their discog didn't do it for me. @Ecnalzen Yeah I have listened to DGD and early Emarosa. Like some stuff from both. Right now I guess I'm looking for something kinda similar to Anberlin's heavier songs like The Resistance and Godspeed. Energetic, but not too high tempo, and with passionate vocals. The album by Sinew I posted did this fantastically as well. I kinda liked the sound on Languages by The Contortionist but the vocals were not at all what I like. None of the other bands listed here did it for me.

Alexagon 01.29.21	Hey sorry for the delayed response. I have checked out Bayside. The music is a bit too pop punky for me, but I do really like Sick, Sick, Sick. I'll check out the song you linked soon. I was listening to Thursday's Common Existence the other day and I REALLY like the sound on that album. That and No Devolucion. The rest of the discog is a bit too punky for me but I have listened to them in the past.
Ecnalzen 01.29.21	I kinda feel like Bayside has been veering more into a alt/rock sound in their later stuff, but they still throw some pop punk in there every so often. I love their guitar work and Anthony's lyrics/vocals. The song I linked is on Cult, which is the album after the one with Sick Sick I have heard No Devolucion but not Common Existence. Hmm.. what about O'Brother? Garden Window is a goodun and it has a similar kinda post rocky/post hardcore sound to it like No Dev. I have also always enjoyed his vox. Their earlier stuff (which is what I am linking) got a fair amount of Thrice comparisons.
