11.04.20 | atdi - relationship of command
brainiac - hissing prigs in static couture
#12 looks like you - worse than alone
discordance axis - the inalienable dreamless
cynic - focus
sublime - sublime
the stooges - raw power
maudlin of the well - bath/leaving your body map
suffocation - despise the sun
[edit : oh whoops didn't see the no peak/no tragedy description, regardless most of these weren't exactly high sellers in their day, in waning genres[ceeept sublime]. suffocation is probably the best fit] |
InFiction
11.04.20 | Okay I had a totally different idea of what you meant by 'comedown' album lmao |
Pheromone
11.04.20 | Yeah same as InFiction - where the correct answer for that would be Carrie & Lowell or something to help push me to near-commit |
porcupinetheater
11.04.20 | Might be your name bringing this to mind, but The Jesus Lizard - Shot is a big’un for me.
Also lol Phero, putting on Carrie and Lowell for a comedown, straight gunning for that masochism. |
Grimlin
11.04.20 | Was gonna say Blue, but Shot works. Love all TJL |

11.04.20 | I understand the confusion over what a comedown album is, I just couldn't find a better name for this specific type of album. |
ReturnToRock
11.04.20 | Green Day - Insomniac
AC/DC - The Razors Edge
Cinderella - Still Climbing
The Ramones - End of the Century
The Ramones - Mondo Bizarro
The Doors - LA Woman
The Beatles - White Album
The Beatles - Abbey Road
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
Sitiados - O Triunfo dos Eletrodomésticos |
Pheromone
11.04.20 | im a pure masochist on a comedown porc - brains all wallow in the dirty depression, you deserve it |
Colton
11.04.20 | thought this would be a list of the best albums to listen to on a drug comedown |
Pheromone
11.04.20 | lets pretend it is
carissas weird is another one |
Colton
11.04.20 | there are no good albums for drug comedowns lol |
Pheromone
11.04.20 | I disagree
You want something to really make you hate yourself |
protokute
11.04.20 | i had my list ready, but then i realized it wasn't the comedown you meant |
rabidfish
11.04.20 | i thought you were talking about good albums to jam while coming down molly or acid lol. I like to listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7OgrqWy6ZY

11.14.20 | Edited this list because the original post caused confusion. It was titled "Best Comedown Album" which people mistook for a drug comedown. What albums do you think sound like a band on the verge of their demise? |
solrage
11.14.20 | Big Star - Third/Sister Lovers is the ultimate example IMO. |
EphemeralEternity
11.14.20 | When I’m coming down or feeling lethargic I just put on Lowkey ambient stuff - structured music just worsens the way I’m feeling usually.
Anyway panteras great southern trendkill might qualify altho they don’t break up there was inner tension and Phil recorded his parts in another state.
To be honest tho this situation isn’t necessary reflected in the quality or content of the music though |
DavidYowi
11.14.20 | You know what I'll add Trendkill b/c it does sounds like the band is gonna implode on itself, despite Reinventing being their official last album. TGST is honestly my favorite Pantera album. |
gschwen
11.14.20 | I guess I'll throw out Let it Be, but I believe they recorded Abbey Road last, even if Let it Be was technically their final album and they broke up after it. Let it Be has all the underpinnings of a group about to implode. |
ReturnToRock
11.16.20 | Poison - Native Tongue
AC/DC - Rock or Bust
KISS - Carnival of Souls
The Clash - Cut The Crap
The Doors - The Soft Parade
Slipknot - Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary

11.16.20 | death grips-year of the snitch |
DavidYowi
11.18.20 | @ReturnToRock Vol. 3 is an interesting choice b/c to me that album sounds like a rebirth of the band. It's basically them sobering up and making their Black Album |
widowslaugh123
11.18.20 | Sex Pistols |
TheAntichrist
11.18.20 | onslaught - in search of sanity |
