06.27.20 | Okay, this one is 100% correct (and they're also a rare band where it makes sense to have a top 5 specifically) |
chemicalmarriage
06.27.20 | 4 is 2 |
MementoMori
06.27.20 | @Johnny: Finally! I've never felt so validated.
@Chemicalmarriage: nice meme. |
FurtherDown
06.27.20 | Cool list! Seems I'll have to check Music for Nurses, I still haven't heard it for some reason.
Anyways, 1 is definitely 1 and 4 is probably 2 for me. |
wildinferno2010
06.27.20 | Yeah, definite correct order. Nice one |
Lucman
06.27.20 | Perfect ranking, amazing band. |
MementoMori
06.27.20 | @wildinferno2010 & @Lucman: I'm definitely getting better at this ranking thing, hmm.
@Furtherdown: Music for Nurses: just realised I haven't even rated it yet. Probably one of my favourite EP's. 2 used to be higher up for me too, it's probably their most accessible release, but it never grew on me like Effloresce or MFN did. |
JDubb
06.28.20 | As no. 5 was the first of their albums I heard - I have a soft spot for it. But agreed it isn’t their best. |
FurtherDown
06.28.20 | 5 has some of their best songs imho, but doesn't work as good as a whole album. |
dedex
06.28.20 | yeah perfect ranking forreal |
MementoMori
06.28.20 | @Furtherdown: Correct assessment I think.
@Dedex: Well, let's see if I can get the next one to align with popular opinion. Glad you agree. |
LeddSledd
06.29.20 | I'd bump the middle three up and put Frames at number 4. Never understood the hype for that album |
MementoMori
07.01.20 | @LeddSledd: It's their most complex and challenging release, it's probably their most proggy release too. That's why I like it the most. |
FurtherDown
07.01.20 | Everything from Frames is awesome, but first three songs are probably my favourite tracks of the whole prog genre with Trail of Fire being the absolute top. |
JohnnyoftheWell
07.01.20 | yeah, there's no topping Trail of Fire tbh. final 3 on Music for Nurses come close, but that song is larger than life perfection |
