06.01.20 | Also, the bonus tracks, Dark Pools and Indra's Net elevate an already stellar album (The Amulet) |
Tundra
06.01.20 | Descensus and Amulet are my fav artworks |

06.01.20 | It's certainly tough to decide. The intricate detail and coloration found throughout the entire conch shell from The Amulet is phenomenal to say the least. It's difficult to see how much work was put into that album cover, until you look at a high resolution image of the album art. |
GreyShadow
06.01.20 | I think the alt cover for Violent Waves is my favorite, followed by BSN and then the actual VW artwork.
all of these are wonderful though, obviously |
GreyShadow
06.01.20 | BSN >= The Amulet > Violent Waves >= Descensus > On Letting Go > Juturna
2nd half of VW is admittedly nothing super amazing but everything up to/including Phantasmagoria is insane |
GreyShadow
06.01.20 | OLG is def more consistent than the two I have preceding it but those highlights are just so huge |

06.01.20 | Based on interviews with Anthony Green, I think VW's artwork perfectly captures what he was experiencing at the time, which is pretty powerful. Also, I completely forgot that there's an alternative cover for VW. If I remember correctly...it's the view from inside the captain's quarters and in my opinion expanded upon the internal turmoil found throughout the album. Unfortunately, most of VW sonically and lyrically doesn't click with me. Generally speaking, I prefer the post VW Anthony. |
alamo
06.01.20 | as for artworks appendage ep > blue sky noise > the amulet > juturna = descensus = on letting go > violent waves |
OwMySnauze
06.01.20 | Juturna ftw on album and artwork |
Ocean of Noise
06.02.20 | Juturna is 1 for both |
GreyShadow
06.02.20 | if you say Juturna is this band's best album you're implying that this band got worse which is silly. |
unclereich
06.02.20 | Band is 💩 |
bc013
06.02.20 | Juturna is good and has a raw tone that the other albums don't have, but the band has made considerable improvements since their debut. |
ZombieToyDuck
06.02.20 | Yeah Blue Sky Noise is clearly their crowning achievement, I think it's definitely their most ambitious. |
Rickislost
06.02.20 | Love this combined ranking, Blue Sky Noise for the sound, but its difficult to pick the best artwork. Violent Waves may seal it for me. |
0xME
06.02.20 | 3 is easily the worst artwork, I love this list idea tho |
Snake.
06.02.20 | 6 is best artwork and best album |
Ziggity
06.02.20 | Juturna all day |
bc013
06.02.20 | It appears that people like Juturna's artwork more than I would have predicted. The colors are definitely muted in comparison to the other albums. However, I think the album art for The Amulet steals many elements from Juturna's artwork. The overall placement of elements and composition between the two are very similar, including the use of orange. |
OwMySnauze
06.02.20 | Juturna has a unique non-2D perspective, just the overall album cover is pure original compared to the others. Plus Anthony’s vocals right after leaving Saosin were still on point with that era. |
onionbubs
06.02.20 | artwork: descensus, juturna, vw, olg, bsn, amulet
albums: bsn, juturna, descensus, amulet, vw, olg
really like all their album covers tho |
GreyShadow
06.02.20 | The Amulet and Descensus sound the most ambitious to me by far. who would have ever thought we'd have an 8 minute circa song. or that they'd make the catchiest 7/4 groove in the genre |
