TesseracT Ranked

Yup, ranking every TesseracT studio album, as well as their EPs.

Perspective

Utterly unnessecary. This is TesseracT's only release to feature short term vocalist Elliot Coleman. While he has a beautiful voice, it doesn't fit with TesseracT. Perspective is essentially, what the Icarus EP is for Periphery. The first three songs are acoustic re-recordings of songs off of One. Their not bad, but their worse than the originals, and far less interesting. Track four is a cover track, also uninteresting. While track five's title "Eden 2.0" might lead someone to think of it as a follow-up to Eden, this isn't the case in the slightest way. It's simply a shortened version of Eden, with Elliot Coleman on vocals.
Worst song(s): They're all not goot

Kind of unnessecary, in my opinion. Polaris wasn't their best to begin with, and remixing a few songs didn't change it. In fact, the remixed versions sound even more boring to me than the originals. However, it features quite a lovely atmosphere, which keeps this album from being a 2.5.

Polaris

A disappointing album. It's not horrible, in fact it's actually a pretty good album, but in TesseracT terms, it simply doesn't compare to any of their other studio albums. It's disappointing in the fact that this was their first release, to re-feature Daniel Tompkins, after o'Hara left the band. The songs aren't that interesting.
Best songs: Seven Names, Hexes, Survival
Worst song(s): Messenger, Utopia

This was the first TesseracT album I listened to, and while it might not be their best record, it's still a great album.
Best songs: King, Juno, Beneath My Skin / Mirror Image
Worst song(s): Orbital

One

The most TesseracT album. Their first record is also their most somber to date. However, the production is a bit lacking, and some songs just don't hold up. Concealing Fate is TesseracT's magnum opus song, but it certainly doesn't steal the show.
Best songs: Concealing Fate, Eden, Lament
Worst song(s): Sunrise, April

Altered State

A controversial pick for sure, especially since this is TesseracT's only record to not feature their signature vocalist, Daniel Tompkins. However, its masterful songwriting and beautiful sound make this TesseracT's best AOAT, for me. Ashe o'Hara might be a screamer, like Tompkins, but his angelic voice just beats Tompkins' on almost any front.
Best songs: Of Mind - Exiled, Of Matter - Retrospect, Of Reality - Eclipse
Worst song(s): None
Rating: 4.9/5
