My grandad who’s 90 years old tested positive two days ago - he’ll be declared free of the virus on Sunday and allowed to end his self isolation in the nursing home. He has asthma, allergies, is severely diabetic, has a cancer of the blood...but appears to be tougher than this random as fuk virus

Thalassic 04.03.20	I'm over at the Belgium-Netherlands border and we're peaking at the moment. I'm working from home. There's plenty of others that don't have a job and aren't getting a full paycheck, so complaining would be an asshole thing from me to do. I've got family working in healthcare (my sister for instance) so they're at the frontline. My brother's on the other hand stuck in Germany and can't return home for the time being. Gyms have been closed for a while, which sucks. Usually I'm a 5-6 time a week gym goer and I don't have a home gym. Now I go jogging or powerwalking for a few days a week and do some full body exercises and practice on my punching bag which I do have at home; it's better than nothing. Crazy semester to end grad school on but still very thankful I was able to defend my thesis and can still work towards graduating. Storm In A Teacup 04.03.20	I'm doing okay. Been quarantined for over two weeks already because I'm high risk. My family and I are 100% convinced that my mom and brother both came down with corona in January. Both ended up okay after getting all the corona symptoms, getting better for a couple days, then got much worse and were bed-ridden for days. Luckily they both got through it okay. My mom went to the ER in early January and the nurse told her she wasn't going to test her for the flu because other people had come in with the same problems and she was going to treat her like she treated those people and prescribed her with a Z-Pac. When my brother went they told him he had a virus but they didn't know what it was. My brother has never been sick in his whole life. Both of them worried me and my dad because we both had never seen them like this in their life. At the time we didn't know about corona but I refused to be around my mom at the time (my brother lives halfway across the country) because I have had pneumonia over 20 times in my life and I didn't want to risk getting whatever she had. An extremely God decision on my part now that the world knows what we know.

anat 04.03.20	I had symptoms of a fever and sore throat almost 2 weeks ago but they subsided fairly quickly (even if the fever was absolutely horrendous whilst I had it), won't know if it was the real McCoy or not until they suss this retroactive antibody test. A fit and healthy student nurse from not too far away died the other day, only early 30s. I'm working in a distribution warehouse atm picking and packing deliveries. Doesn't feel entirely essential as some people are ordering absolute tat like mirrors and curtain poles, but it is what it is. Haven't needed to venture to the supermarket yet as I live opposite a newsagent and they're fairly well-stocked, but the prospect of having to do a 'big shop' terrifies me. Luckily I grew up poor so I know how to subsist on air molecules and crumbs. Hope you all are keeping well and not being fucking idiots about the whole thing.

DoofDoof 04.03.20	Deez the test results took about 6 days and he didn’t have extreme symptoms so we didn’t really expect him to test positive, all he had was a bit of a temperate and the shits (I caught norovirus from the place last year and had those symptoms plus vomiting, so there’s usually something about in that place), now they’re saying two more days he’s clear - he feels fine at this stage. We were still a bit worried but the time to worry a lot was robbed from us by the test results taking so long :/

Divaman 04.04.20	As the oldest man on Sputnik (as far as I know), I've been pretty much hiding out for three weeks because I'm in a high risk group. Lucky I work from home. (I didn't really pay much attention until the Governor shut down Broadway). My whole household is OK, but I'm a little nervous because both my daughter and her boyfriend (who lives with us) are still working outside the home, and as of the last few days, Long Island has started getting battered by the virus. Also learned today that my son's best friend when they were kids caught the virus, although he's young and healthy, so he'll hopefully be fine. Not a great time anywhere, but I guess history teaches us that these kinds of outbreaks happen so often.

My food gets delivered every week directly from farmers so I don't really need to go outside.
