03.14.20 | hmm i have a lot of complaints about joker but can't say i could ever put dark phoenix over it. or far from home or captain marvel or shazaam. id say all of the comic book movies in 2019 were about a 4-5 tbqh |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.14.20 | relatively agree on midsommar and the lighthouse
knives out was dec maybe like a 7 for me
once upon a time in hollywood would maybe be around a 7 for me too
endgame at a 10 is triggering |

03.15.20 | 20 was a horrible movie imo. It’s the only one on the list I saw so I have nothing good to say, sorry. Not a movie person..... |
neekafat
03.15.20 | You've only seen that on the whole list?
And fair pots, I was known for liking superhero movies too much in film school |
bgillesp
03.15.20 | Yup, only one. And the cringy stereotype characters and painfully obvious foreshadowing meant to look like pretentious symbolism along with horribly gratuitous sex scenes to wrap up a pointless plot were too much for me. Though the, “it’s actually just a breakup movie” twist was kinda interesting and the filming and colors and all that were very nice making it at least watchable. |
Comatorium.
03.15.20 | Lmao wow you must be fun at parties. Shut up with your pseudo intellectual bullshit.
Midsommar was a pretty good movie. |

03.15.20 | "And fair pots, I was known for liking superhero movies too much in film school"
Lol I imagine that amongst the more pretentious types that go to film school you probably never heard the end of it either. I enjoy the mindless entertainment to some degree and I used to read a lot of comics so I stay current but there arent many comic films I've loved much yet |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.15.20 | Also calm the fuck down comatorium. Midsommar was a divisive movie, ur gonna meet people who didn't like it. |
neekafat
03.15.20 | Bgill the break up angle was a unique and triumphant angle, felt way less pointless than the twist of Hereditary which was... "I guess the devil did it!?!?"
I preferred Midsommar considerably |

03.15.20 | I like most superhero movies, I love a handful I'd say haha |

03.15.20 | I think you're the only other person I know who thinks that |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.15.20 | there are many superhero movies i like moderately... im tryna think of ones that i've loved so far...
Logan is probably as close as it gets. I always loved Sin City back in the day. And the Dredd remake was surprisingly awesome.
Enter the Spider-Verse I adored thats probably the best one |

i was kind of surprised that how uncommon of an opinion that turned out to be on here as most of my actual friends share the sentiment. |

04.05.20 | gonna say 2019 was the worst year of the decade for horror
my favorites were: haunt, ready or not, it chapter II, child's play, extra ordinary, villains, sadistic intentions, god what a terrible year. |
neekafat
04.05.20 | Ready or Not is a fantastic film though, was not big on IT Chapter 2 and didn't see the rest |
budgie
04.05.20 | it chapter 2 was pretty goofy, but it came out when i was in the middle of the book, so it was just a whole big goofy pile of fun. i'm not sure i'd call it a guilty pleasure still, the kills were great, pennywise was fun, idk. the kids were fun, the comedy was good, bill hader was awesome. i do wish it focused more on the darkness of the story, which is meaning to say: not enough child killing. jessica chastain nearly ruined the movie single-handedly as well, terrible casting choice
anyway it was a rough year for horror yeah |
neekafat
04.05.20 | Jessica Chastain is literally one of my favorite actresses, I hated her character in the film but that was obvious due to a poor screenplay imo |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
04.05.20 | I haven't seen much of her stuff but out of what I have seen her in she's never been notable tbh. What am I missing? Or is it just that she has big tits? |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
04.05.20 | I honestly sometimes confuse her with Christina Hendricks in that I'm not actually sure what they are famous for aside from having red hair and big tits. but Hendricks has actually been in a few movies I really like.
What are Chastains most notable roles? |
budgie
04.05.20 | ive never seen her in anything else but man was she stale in it chapter 2, pity |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
04.05.20 | i havent seen it chapter two yet but 'stale' is the exact singular word i'd use to describe her performances in x-men: dark phoenix, the martian, and interstellar.
she also played Alice Glass in Mama and that wasn't as stale of a performance as the other three but it wasn't anything noteworthy either |
budgie
04.05.20 | you should check out mackenzie davis in always shine. complete opposite of stale performance, creeped me the fuuuck out
she alsoooo played in that one famous black mirror episode about the girl lovers chilling on the beach whatever it was |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
04.05.20 | she looks like saoirse ronan crossed with emily blunt |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
